Another terrific video...a lovely mix of music, minor challenges, and great shots of island life. Always look forward to your videos.... suggestion, please wear heavy gloves when using anchor chain... know a couple of folks who;ve been hurt.

I always do when hauling it up, but I should have had them on when loosening that chain.

Check out a couple of the Marine Salvage Yards in Florida, you may find a few Racor Filters reasonably priced.

Lyn, It's good to see you looking good after the operation. You and ED are great people, a tiny bit hedonistic, but what the H**l:) Cheers, Rik Spector

Actually, that was shot prior to her operation but she is doing very well. Back to her normal, hedonistic self!

Loved the video, Hopetown and Little harbor are two of my favorite places. I've heard Hopetown is finally pretty much recovered from the devastating hurricane that leveled much of it, but not sure about other parts of Elbow Cay. The Sea of Abaco is a small boat paradise.
@tryingnottosink91073 ай бұрын
Yes, it looks fully recovered to us.

Funny you mentioned the Raycor issue on the inlet. Been trying to figure out why generator won't run! Lack of fuel I knew but changed Raycor filter then Electric Pump still an issue blow out the line from raycor to fuel pump. Come to find out the raycor elbow going into the raycor was clogged! Sounds like similar issue you had.

Yes, that has happened to us as well.

Once you empty a tank, either get it cleaned out or clean it out your self, then polish the remaining fuel from another tank into it and clean that tank. Once the tanks have been cleaned, just repeat those steps minus the tank cleaning, at the start of your season.
@tryingnottosink91073 ай бұрын
That is exactly what I did. I made a video of it a couple weeks ago. Making a fuel polisher.
@JohnEly-d1e3 ай бұрын
I mean this in the right way, but why do you go to the trouble of securing a bridle to the anchor? It seems to me one could use all sorts of anchor techniques, but it all boils down to an adequate anchor stuck in the bottom. But what do I know!!!
@tryingnottosink9107Ай бұрын
The bridle protects the windlass from damage and stops the chain from jumping off the windlass and running out.
