In hindsight, there’s something about Hannah Montana that really confuses me. I’ll concede that my memory on the show is a little fuzzy, but it’s impossible for me to deny that Miley was *constantly* singing about her double life. Rockstar, The Other Side of Me, even Best of Both Worlds…whether she was hinting at it or referencing it or whatever, it was like the worst-kept secret in the Disney Channel Cinematic Universe. What’s worse is that, for some reason, *nobody* seemed to catch on! Again, I don’t remember too much about the show, so there might have been a joke about it somewhere, but why would the biggest pop star in the world sing about her life being essentially a lie with such frequency, particularly when no one bats an eye?

Something I mentioned to my friends too is that Jackson never had a disguise... like, he was literally just Jackson. Lily and Oliver (and her Dad) had disguises so people wouldn't know who they were. But Jackson never had one?? Like... how do you see Jackson Rod Stewart hanging out with THE Hannah Montana and don't either a) question who exactly Hannah is or b) put it TOGETHER THAT IT'S MILEY STEWART???

Schaffrillas, Cell Spex and other cartoon enthusiasts believe that 2009 was the year animated movies peaked. While I can see the argument, I also believe that it was also the year movies based on kids shows peaked! So many of my favorite shows got their own movies and these movies all released on the same year: this movie, Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie, Totally Spies The Movie, Ben 10 Alien Swarm, The Fairly OddParents: Wishology Trilogy, Ed Edd n Eddy’s Big Picture Show and Scooby Doo The Mystery Begins. There were at least a few that just so happened to also release that year that weren't that good or good at all: Scooby Doo and the Samurai Sword where the only memorable part about it was that it was the last DTV Scooby movie to use the “What’s New” aesthetic and Casey Kasem voicing Shaggy, Land of the Lost, which I never would’ve known was based on a kids show because it’s the only one of out of all these shows that I never grew up watching, 70s nor 90s and it was a raunchy comedy for a PG-13 movie and SpongeBob's Truth or Square which I wouldn't even call a movie as it was wasting so much time stretching the runtime. We could've even gotten a Chowder movie releasing either in 2009 or 2010 with Matthew McConaughey considered to play I think the villain but it was cancelled in the middle of production because C.H. Greenblatt didn’t like the final product. But the fond memories outweigh the bad. There are a variety of reasons why it was the best year for kids show based movies. 1. I can't find any other year that had the MOST movies based on kids shows. 2. Two of them released exclusively in theaters. Three if you count Totally Spies The Movie releasing in theaters in their own home country. 3. Some of them were made to celebrate the anniversary of their respective shows. 4. Many of them elevated the popularity and/or potential of their respective shows. The Mystery Begins and Alien Swarm were especially in the top 3 of Cartoon Network’s most watched premieres! It was one of the best times to be a fan of kids shows as I was a kid at the time!

Well, Tyra did say "Funny, there for my best friend too." So unless she was just being very sarcastic here, she probably was planning on buying those shoes for one of her best friends too. She was also already standing next to that shoe display before Miley got there. This could also just be a case of rich people buying really expensive things just cause they can. Weather they have any use for them or not they can easily still afford it. So, it wouldn't be too surprising if Tyra was indeed just buying those shoes for herself. Even if they didn't fit her at all. It's Hollywood and celebrity life after all. 💁 P.S. On another note, that hilarious and iconic shoe fighting scene will forever live in my head rent-free. As someone who was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee I would like to note there is not Tennessee University. There is UTK (University of Tennessee Knoxville the larger university and where I attend film school) there is UTC (University of Tennessee Chattanooga). There is also ESTU (East Tennessee State) and MTSU (Middle Tennessee State) and a TSU (Tennessee State a historically black college) but there is no Tennessee University.
