After the Speedster; this is a walk in the park for you...😉. That transaxle looks very cruddy. Would be a nice idea to clean it up and at least change the gear oil in it. Looks like the oil cooler seals are gone. Good time now to replace hard and cracked fuel hoses and relocate the fuel filter out of the engine compartment.

Ricardo Baerga my first car was a beetle. My dad and I built it when I was 15. I’ve pulled the engine out of these things to many times to count. I’ll definitely be cleaning up and replacing the seals on the transaxle 👍
