They carefully tread waters to appear normal, safe, kind, lying, avoid showing red flags, until they slowly leach in and cause harm. You'd be shocked at the volume of children from single mothers that are SAed by boyfriends. They are one of the top people to harm children. I don't think I'd date, period, until my kids are much older, if I ended up being a single mom.

Hi Cam! Im also beginning to re dip my toes into dating! And yes, it can be very stressful and intimidating like you said. For me personally it just causes a lot of anxiety. But one thing i've learned is to just be patient with myself. and not do anything that i don't feel uncomfortable with. also don't tell myself i HAVE to do something. and somedays it may take a little more self love to make me comfortable. but its ok to allow myself those extra things. idk what im trying to say is do what feels right for you and not do anything that you feel like need to do or are being forces to do. take things at the pace you want to. I was putting it out there to help her reflect (she seems to like that as she journals).
