Despite being an East Coast DC aficionado (Cabs, Sky, NY Knickerbockers, etc) in those years, I still have a recording on CD of this Anaheim show, and still play it. It was one of the historically GREAT drum corps shows. They deserve much credit! Thanks for a great show!

I was there. This was one of the great performances of all time. The King of Kings ending was fantastic. The crowd started to stand up thinking it was over, then started to sit down and the music kept building to a climax and then the whole crowd just stood up a roared. It was great.

Was that Dave on soprano on the end of Mickey?

A little trivia, we all wore identical Mickey Mouse tee shirts underneath the cadet jackets. The idea to actually play Mickey Mouse was kind of fun because a 'Mickey Mouse' drum corps was not very good and it kind of inspired us to work very hard to be just the opposite and excel.

It was mostly different. The rules were more military and restrictive, but we did not know anything else at the time. It was not hard to us, we just went out a did the show. IT was a gas..
