It's more nolstalgic/depresive that innocent. It talks about wanting a simpler world but because this one fills her with pain. Also by the imagery it probably connects the most with "A hole opened up in my heart"

agree that its an important part. but i never really look into lyrics of a song all my life. im more of a music, instrumental sound guy. i wrote lyrics last for the songs i make for myself. but i am a reader tho and the comments gave me context about the song
