Hi KZbin, today we will get into some melodic techno chords you need to add in order for your groove to enhance. When you play chords, keep in mind that it shouldn't be to complicated. The placement is as much important as the stucture of the chords. And since the goal is to make people dance more than the listen, Your melodic techno chords need to be programmed smartly. Here's how I do it. Enjoy!
Thanks for watching and keep your eyes on this space.

Correct me, but it is not possible without an MPC or DAW because i can only program 32 steps? So the bass line will be to short. I have an additional roland jp8000 in the setup now, but it seems there is the same thing. But it's still big fun..

Timestamp 9:00 to 9:30 sounds awesome with that pitch shifting and the staccato arp. For reals. You are legit getting so much better(and this was chill trance and techno to begin with) They do say: you only finally understand something when you attempt to teach people. You might find some next level sound soon if you keep looking tho. I would mess with that.pitch shift for a good 32 bars lol. Octave up, octave down. 5ths or 7ths if they fit.

"Should we add the 303?" The answer I think is: "lol, what a silly question" Edit: that is like saying: "We have this downtempo hip hop track...should we add the 808's or live jazz drummers playing hip hop beats?" Both are perfect and epic.

@@AnalogKitchen Yeah lol, if the electric guitar is a 20th century achievment, the 303 sound is too. Always epic. I didn't pay attention too well, are you using a legit 303 now or still the tb-03? Both sound awesome(in fact the tb-03 might be better for house and atmospheric styles). I was just interested which one you used for this newer era melodic techno throwback sound.

When the hats came on I anticipated a techno Theme to Shaft wah wah guitar intro. I liked your use of the piano and rhythm. But the beat needs a simple melodic hook sung over it. Something that's easy to hum, whistle, and remember. Otherwise, it sounds like EDM, four on the floor and a swarm of synths. EDM has some good music but it's ironically rhythmically unchallenging for people who are rhythmically challenged. In other words, EDM is for people who can't dance.
