Why except Alcaraz? by saying that you’re actually giving Alcaraz a step ahead which’s totally not true! I don’t see Alcaraz dominating as so many commentators are predicting, Sinners has his number keep looking. Sinner has a mind that’s unbelievable Carlos isn’t even anywhere close to that. When Carlos is able to go on any court and think and play on his own two feet without constantly looking at his box for coaching as Draper was last night throughout the whole match and still wasn’t able to make a dent on Sinner, then we can talk. So all the hype about Alcaraz as was Nadel in his prime who also was coached constantly throughout his career just doesn’t impress me. I’m into Federer’s thinking no coaching, go out there and think on your own and play tennis. Comments every now and then from the coach I can live with but constantly being advised as which side to serve and so forth as I have seen Alcaraz coach advising him is unacceptable. How can someone like that be the best, stand on your own two feet and think and deliver, do that and you have my respect.

there are few analysis regarding the athletic "body" characteristics of tennis players. They do the same sport of course, tennis, but their athletic characteristics are completely different. In track and field Sinner could run 5000, or 10000 (and high jump), he has that kind of body, while someone like Draper could run from 400m down. When the match is tiring and becomes a marathon someone like Sinner has a much strong stamina that someone with a body type like Draper. This must be taken also in consideration, after of course, the tennis skills that Sinner has on a higher level

His physicality seems to process adrenaline inefficiently..all the energy it takes to play the game gets dumped too fast and he is in overload . Some of the emerging players with elite skills do struggle to process the unfolding journey of a sustained match. Holger Rune another young guy who was falling apart in matches. The high end ability delivers this kind of player into higher ranked player match ups before they have learned to pace themselves.

Draper will probably never get to sinners level or should I say what sinner will go on to eventually achieve , but yesterday's match for me showed me more that Sinner even though the same age as Jack is probably two years ahead in terms of match toughness , dealing with big pressure moments, coming back from adversary etc etc. Drapers development has been stop start since he burst onto the scene and if he stays injury free I feel within 18 months everything should click and he will be at the very least a top ten player. Who knows he has the game and talent to become one of the very best competing for the top prizes every time . But you have to be a special sort of individual to achieve that sort of ststus. If I had to have a guess now he will be a sort of Rublev sort of level / career with maybe winning a slam along the way

Spinx totally agree mate !! But the Sinner of two years ago who is probably around the same level of experience as this current Jack Drape r would be dismantled by this current Sinner. My point is in the next 18 months Draper can develop his game so much and we will see then I feel what sort of level he will be he still very raw with a lot of the attributes . Experiencing big matches at big events like this win or lose getting fitter getting stronger dealing with pressure situations etc etc. This really was his first big stage match against an elite player in a massive event. He will only get better in all areas

(però non ne sono certo, dovrei verificare). Comunque penso che le olimpiadi potrebbero aver inciso più a livello mentale che fisico. PS Ho verificato. I don’t know why people like to count him out.. if he manages to address his physical struggles he has the potential to win a few slams, he’s beaten both alcaraz and sinner in smaller tournaments already and he overpowered Jannik in some of their rallies here.

He still has health issues and he must address those. He finished 2023 ranked No. 61 and now he has a career high ranking of No. 20. First he must get into the Top 10 and stay there year after year. He’s only 22 years old so the future is bright. Hopefully, he plays some key upcoming tournaments starting in late September: - Tokyo or Beijing ATP 500 - Shanghai Masters - Vienna or Basel ATP 500 - Paris Masters

It had very few to do with Sinner who was mediocre with his shiny stat being his first serve. If Sinner plays like this against Fritz he is not winning US Open. As for Draper, I don't know if it was a heatstroke or dehydration but physically he wasn't even close to his top condition. This naturally affected stats like his 1st serve and double faults which were unbeliavably high. How did Sinner affect Drapers' 1st serve? He didn't. Jack lost it on his own. He did tremendous. His body betrayed him.

Amazing how fit Sinner is!? I would double check his bloods. Probably as juiced up as Lance Armstrong.

So from now on, anytime he plays well, you are going to just say he is juiced up? I understand you don't like the guy but always coming with the "dope card" will just be a slander and not much else.

Draper quando ha vinto prima di sinner non lo vedevo emotivo! Perciò ha vinto il migliore che ha sbagliato 10 volte con il dritto.

STOP FINDING EXCUSES like DISIDRATATION or other STUPID THINGS : this match has shown only 1 THING , the ABSOLUTE SUPERIORITY OF SINNER on DRAPER !
@Fontsman-14
@Fontsman-14 2 ай бұрын
@NazarenoGalullo-mh5vs Draper's conditioning also played a part too. Let's not forget that Sinner's had problems with cramp. He's undergone a physical transformation over the last 2 years. Before that, he was built like a stick of celery. Draper being a naturally heavier build in the mold of Shelton will need to find the right balance of muscularity/flexibility and endurance.

@@Fontsman-14 Agreed. Tennis players start at a young age before they're done growing. We see them changing and trying to find a balance that works for their body type as they get older. People have said Sinner is a year or two away from his peak physical condition. He is only 23 and you can keep growing well into your 20's. Other players will naturally go through the same transformations.
