right, it's in the exact same vein as discussing what eye color you think a baby will have or which features from which parent. if someone had said "oh dear I hope the baby doesn't look black!!!" obviously that would be racist and gross but that's not even what happened. I used to not understand all the flack Harry and Meghan got but I totally get it now, it really seems like they leave out very important context or are just flat out intentionally misleading a lot of the time, especially when recounting experiences with the royals.

I did not take Meghan’s refusal to provide details as indicative of being generous to an institution which she clearly attempted to undermine. If someone really made inappropriate remarks about the potential darkness of skin color why, not provide specifics? It is far more common for people to project imaginary fears onto others about that issue. I am confident that was a non-issue except in the minds of those expressing paranoia about the issue. If she really thought she was correct she should have provided details. She knew she was wrong.

Goodwill towards Harry's family would have been to talk about their differences behind closed doors, as discrete adults without an agenda would do. The fact that accusations about racism were thrown out to the entire world with neither detail, perpetrator or, most crucially, context, has meant the entire RF and their employees have been tarred with that brush, indiscriminately, unfairly and pretty blatantly. Every single Royal in the limelight has been attacked by the tabloids and such. Royals have always been and always will be. It killed his mom, yes....but far worse has happened. Which brings me to my analysis....Harry was bitter from what happened to his mother. He stood up for his wife and it was commendable, it was almost a reminder for the UK. I would be mortified to not learn every bit of history and culture knowing I am about to wed into the most powerful family on the planet at this time. Being Royal means sacrifice to your kingdom at all costs. Some people aren't into that kind of thing and life. Firstly, a number of things that Megan stated were lies i.e. her son not getting a title , which he wouldn’t have, as only the heirr to the throne’ first son’s children is allowed to have the title of Prince or Princess . She lied about getting married three days before the $33 million wedding . That was a wedding rehearsal and exchange of vowels. She also lied about having no training Sarah Cohen worked for 13 years at the palace and was with her for six months as her personal assistant and to introduce her the workings and requirements of being a working royal. Harry is the patron of “Heads Together” mental health charity. He has also been in therapy and rehab. Also his father ,Prince Charles has been in therapy. So she is lying about not having access to mental health help. Megan chose her own doctors and medical healthcare, throughout her pregnancy . She would’ve had the best, of the best and yet she was feeling suicidal whilst pregnant and couldn’t tell any of her handpicked personal medical team? Also the British taxpayer foot the bill of security for Senior working members of the royal family. It’s not the royal family, but it’s the metropolitan police that decides security. As the British tax paying public fund security, it is not unreasonable that when Harry and Megan stopped being working Royals, that their security stopped too. Why would the British taxpayer pay for their security? Megan Markle loved her new found status, the million pound wardrobe ,the unbelievable public platform that she was given. However she did not want to do this without exploiting her new found fame. (Something she never really achieved as a TV actress) Poor Harry is being painfully gaslighted by Megan ....

Even most of the comments posted back at the time of this analysis were spot on, exposing the Markles for the narcissistic whiners that they are. Little did they know back then that this Oprah interview would be the beginning of the end for them. Only narcissists would spill all to Oprah while a 99 year old Prince Phillip was dying. Her point was that the palace helped control the narrative with other members of the family, but not for Meghan. I find it extremely hard to believe that Meghan entered the marriage without knowing what she was getting into. If I was dating a guy for 18 months who is a prince and planning to tie the knot with me, there is no way that I wouldn't be asking them A LOT lof questions about what it's really like to be in that institution and what my future would look like. In fact I would go so far as to say that it would be impossible to develop true intimacy without getting a more than basic understanding of what that kind of life is really like. I think Megan is extremely jealous of Kate - whom she has no hope of competing with and whom she will have to always walk behind. Also it is a modern trend for royal families to reduce the number of individuals who can claim a royal allowance. Clearly none of Megan's children are titled or eligible for a royal allowance - no wonder she is dissatisfied with the firm. She might not have considered you catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar. I think it is sour grapes as the firm as she puts it does not really have time for new age feelings, this does not seem to affect Kate's happiness in her royal role and family life. I think it not that the firm is prejudiced but that it is a rigorous life - which as a successful actress one would of thought she would be familiar with a rigorous life.

I get that argument but at the same time the grown up thing would have been to just pay for it yourself especially if you have the money to do it. He pointed out that his team would be tasked with protecting Harry and his family. That would involve a team of around 12 officers living in the US, Canada or wherever the family chose to live. The officers would not be allowed to carry weapons in another country so additional resorces who could carry guns would need to be employed. There would be issues accessing intelligence databases to assess threats in a foreign country. There are arrangements in place to cover Royal Visits where everything is pre arranged with security in mind. There are no arrangements for the situation Harry & Megan presented. I don't believe the decision regarding the provision of security was made to deter or punish the couple for wanting to step away from "Royal Duties" but because of the difficulties involved. In return for accepting the role and regime of representing the Queen Harry was aware that it comes with responsibilities. In return he was given a generous income accommodation expenses and a personal staff. Why is it reasonable to expect his Father to support him financially? Consider the position if Harry wasn't a member of the Royal Family. What if you went to work and said. I'm only going to do the elements of my job that I choose but I expect to be paid the same salary? Harry gets about £40,000 a year from his military service. I'm not sure how much he received as a working Royal but His Father added about £1.3 million to that from the Dutchy of Cornwalk revenues. He inherited about £8 million from his late mother. Trustees turned this into somewhere around £30 million. They chose to leave the Royal family it's not something you can do part time or pick and choose the duties they are willing to perform. They are not going to be claiming welfare having a combined income of around £35 million ($50 million). While Megan may not have been aware of what royal life is like Harry did. Dianna didn't divorce Charles because she wanted out of the Royal Family. She divorced him because throughout the marriage he carried on an affair with Camilla the woman he wanted to marry but couldn't. In light of the racism accusation names should be named and appropriate action taken.

Dr. Grande, usually I find your opinions coincide pretty much with mine but Meghan Markle - whom I liked to watch in Suits - has come off again and again as an entitled, complaining piece of work since joining the Royal Family. The mere fact that she claims to have become suicidal, in my view, is yet another way to grab the spotlight. It is insulting to women who have literally nothing working for them or in their favor but they soldier on anyway, trying to make ends meet financially, care for a family, ill children or relatives, possibly even in the face of criticism from family and others. Do you hear these women who genuinely are in the throes of poverty and despair announce that they are suicidal? Do you see them run to human resource departments asking for special help? No. Why? Because they are too BUSY working to deal with the hand dealt them and get out of the rut. Meghan Markle complains to "human resources" within the "institution." Puleeeeeeez. Give me a break. And SO WHAT if a family member wondered about the future complexion of the unborn child!! Who cares? Why does Markle turn it into a racist remark? Any two people even of the same race but with wildly different characteristics have relatives wondering what color hair, eyes, skin tone, etc the baby will have. I am watching this video 9 months on from your analysis Dr Grande - I'd love to hear an update on this pair noting how many lies were told in this interview as well as on other matters eg not being married 3 days before the public wedding, being cut off financially (timing), the "conversations" about skin colour actually being from Harry one conversation and BEFORE her pregnancy, helping with the Finding Freedom hagiography etc etc etc.
