If only she discussed ambition in a thoughtful way. But the truth is that she is definitely being victimized. It is world wide constant bullying. The name of the podcast is interesting. It would be great to hear more about that. There are fabulous stories and books involving a wide range of fascinating archetypes, and it can be really inspiring and encouraging.
@misstmemrs2 жыл бұрын
Sadly, you cannot just contradict as an argument. As she did. Extreme ambition can be problematic. In Hollywood, they have acting teachers that advise people to think like psychopaths. Forget your family and focus only on your goal. The author of the San Franciscans characterized that problem in his next book. There are interesting archetypes in literature that highlight the problem of extreme ambition. It is also a valid point to discuss how people can be sabotaged with false accusations of extreme ambition. Johnny Depp smeared his wife that way, or he was concerned about her alleged blind ambition. Unfortunately we cannot just automatically dismiss all criticism. Nor is it necessarily right to promote subversion. Wondering if she is normalizing subversion. That is what her behavior seemed like in England. Subversive. Covert aggression. Destructive manipulative dominating possessiveness. In the real world this “subversion” takes many forms and is extremely destructive. Children are targeted. It is so sad because she went to England and acted the princess and stepped on a lot of toes. She just had no idea what she was doing and apparently no one could tell her. She wasn’t diplomatic. She acted out in a way that suggested a lot of negative things. It certainly seemed there was a subversive actor playing games. With facial expressions and pointed behavior that seemed aggressive, manipulative and dominating. Of course those words are automatically dismissed by her and you are not heard or acknowledged, since you have been cast into the rigid role of subhuman. However, it is interesting to see how she is being bullied and to realize that because if the internet we are seeing how women, particularly, are spoken about and bullied and lied about in society. It is sickening. Innocent people are treated like that. Harry and Megan may have been going through certain mental or emotional events, facing some painful truths. And wanting to do good with the attention they received. Wanting to do more. For the environment and for so many people. The ongoing hostility they are receiving is interesting to see. She speaks with omniscient certainty and defines reality in a rigid way. Ambition is not always good. Hopefully she will discuss the vast knowledge and wisdom she gained around charities.

Now why target Meghan with harmful rhetoric and it is incumbent in him to control hate speech and not escalate mental health problems. Meghan and Prince Harry stepped down as senior working royals as they wanted to work to be financially independent. The Queen reiterated that they would divide their time between UK and USA. Dr Todd Grande more than anyone should know better than to join the bandwagon of hate-for-profit enterprise. Why does he feel he is ordained him to dissect and downgrade Meghan's podcast at its onset and he has the audacity to assassinate her character when he hardly or personally knows her . I couldn't believe it when Meghan chose an impoverished village in which to do a brief interview saying nobody in the royal family asks her how's she doing. In an impoverished village. She has some nerve to publicly complain about her life. Her life in palaces, millions of dollars, designer clothes, private airplanes etc. Also as soon as she opened her mouth, no stories were done to raise awareness of the plight of these impoverished people. @@maxinefreeman8858 Here's a scenario I give to people: It's the early 1700s in London and a very wealthy young woman gives birth to a Black child. The child is kept by the family instead of adopted out. He is allowed to eat meals with them but not when company is around. Other than that, he is given an education equivalent to his female cousins. He will inherit some property but he won't run an estate like his half brother or male cousins will. Is this a happy story or a tragic story? White people always see it as a happy story because of how much worse it could have been for him. They view the family as being non-racist and the boy as fortunate. But people who aren't white always say it's tragic because he's not even equal in the eyes of his family, they are racist, and "could be worse off" is still not equal. This reminds me of the public backlash when Harry described how an advisor to the Queen held a meeting to discuss the potential skin color of Megan's baby. Harry witnessed the event without Megan around and then repeated it himself but the public accused Megan of being overly sensitive even though it wasn't a story she was recounting. People insisted it was just innocent curiosity and admitted to wondering the same thing without any racist intent. Somehow, they managed to see innocence in the image of an advisor to the Queen asking the Queen to consider how the public might or will react if the child comes out too dark and not understanding that even if the advisor and the Queen weren't personally concerned with the skin color, there was a need to be concerned with how it could impact how the public feels about the family which is the only thing making the royal family relevant.

What about the many South Africans, many of whom live difficult lives, who had looked forward to seeing some royalty? Her narcissism and sense of entitlement is off the scale. I don't get why she keeps having digs at the royal family. She was only with them for 20 months and was pregnant or on maternity leave for a lot of that time. Hasn't she got anything else from her life to talk about? Doesn't she realise that without her royal connection she would still be a d-list actress and nobody would be interested in her? It's just endless point-scoring.

Oh boy, did she ever!! I am American, and the FIRST thing that took me aback with her behavior (pre-wedding to Harry), was just how brazen and super-confident she was. Many Brits chalked it up to her nationality, but I knew that wasn't it. I did my best to overlook it until things began to be clearly wrong in late 2018. She just didn't exhibit ANY humility. She thought she could be cute, and act all powerful, and spout nonsense, and we'd all think she was wonderful. By the time they announced they were leaving, I was severely disappointed. Then they did the Oprah lie fest, and that was the last straw for me. I may be American, but I have lived long enough and know enough about the Royal family that I knew they were both full of baloney. I joined the ever-growing ranks of those who watch the train wreck and keep wondering HOW LONG this can go on. Well, the answer to that looks to be as long as Meghan is conscious. And it seems like forever! She just is the most incredibly ego-centric individual I have seen.

I’m so sick of that entitled twit, thinking we’re interested in her mundane utterances! It’s no surprise that so many dislike her-pretending to liken herself to some noble cause; or defending those unjustly treated-WHAT BS!🤮🤮 As you have accurately perceived, there is no direction, no talent, no spark of ingenuity, or even reality! “The level of boring” was gold indeed! A huge involuntary grin happened, when you described Harry, wandering into the video- Do they not know, it requires some talent to present a podcast? They both seem to wander aimlessly trying to conjure up “something “, and fail every time, bc neither of them seem to possess any substance- To throw your family under the bus, to gain notoriety, & fortune, is frankly, disgusting!

Spot on! This podcast was intended as yet another attack on Meghan’s critics and formulated, I believe, to detract from the overwhelming message in Tom Bower’s book “Revenge” that shows Meghan to be completely driven by a pathological need to be seen as someone of importance. This is what drives her ambitions and in order to achieve those ambitions she has been revealed as a ruthless and merciless operator. Anyone who draws attention to this fact has to be silenced at all costs lest the facts damage her climb to the pinnacle she intends to reach at all costs. In addition and it seems possibly because things aren’t going all her own way, Meghan throws into the mix yet another swipe at the Palace by suggesting she was “forced” to carry on working after an incident in South Africa involving baby Archie. This was an odd inclusion in a podcast centred on women and ambition and it’s hard to connect the two. In fact they don’t really connect at all in my view. A swipe at the men in grey suits who no doubt pointed out people were eagerly awaiting the appearance of Meghan and Harry at their next engagement and the fact the baby was unharmed and fully protected. Meghan also seemed angry that the incident was not to be announced publicly. Did she not consider this decision was made in order to prevent the embarrassment of their host country? One asks oneself what Meghan saw to gain from the public being informed? The more we hear from Meghan the more we are given reason to believe this is a woman with complex psychological issues. If she intends to use the series of podcasts to work through her insecurities and attempt to exact revenge on those she considers have thwarted her own ambitions I think the whole endeavour will prove to be a complete waste of time and money.

I’ve been a female business owner for around 26 years. I am a third generation female business owner. I remember when women had real things to complain about 25+ years ago like my boss looking down my blouse and there being absolutely nothing I could do about it if I wanted to keep my job…Like my Mother being penned up against the wall by a raging Realtor who refused to do business with a woman! As an ambitious female business owner I don’t recall ever being called manipulative and an opportunist for my ambition. I have been called blunt and in need of diplomacy which I whole heartedly agree with. I work along side my husband and watch and learn much from his diplomacy as he has learned much from my sense of business. I have been friends with other female leaders and business owners and often heard their complaints about women not being able to show anger in the workplace unlike their male counterparts only to experience their anger which I would better define as rage when they were red faced, bearing their teeth at me, white knuckling the chair. My humble opinion is these are women using the “woman card” to play the victim. Sad. Yes, I am sure somewhere in some part of the country a woman is experiencing discrimination, but it is nothing like these youngsters complain about….like being offended by stereotypical gender roles…Personally today, I would welcome true malicious discrimination….Then I would get my female attorney and sue his ass! Put your big girl panties on and grow up Megan!

Specially, when you trying to rise up in any field there's bound to be challenges and people who will make you miserable, but this is what makes the journey worth it. Honestly, people who didn't face any problems in life can never be good at anything because there will never be anything to make them break their own barriers and go out of the way to reach their goal (which is actual ambition). The difference between Serena's story and Meghan's is, that Serena told people, how she managed to overcome a difficult situation, how she was there for her child, then pulled herself together, pushed through and succeeded out on the field. Meghan's story was about how she became a victim after a heater overheated in a mansion (when her son wasn't even in that room) and people still expected her to fulfill her duties, which she did not want to do. Think about this, the Queen worked till the day she died with all sorts of health issues and family drama (recently mainly due to Meg) and you never heard her complain or whine even once. King Charles gave speeches right after his beloved mother's death. These people show class, while Meghan demands sympathy and respect that she never was willing to earn. And I am still waiting for someone to send a link to a single racist press article written about her.
@Daniela-Christianson2 жыл бұрын
You're so right! I watched a documentary about the Queen's life. She rose early every day, dressed in incredibly uncomfortable clothes, handled matters of the state for at least half of her day, then it was on to travelling to engagements, ceremonies, etc, all while having to keep herself in check for manners. No nodding off, drinking, or fun. She did this in her nineties!! She was a selfless powerhouse who loved the people of England.

I’m not a psychiatrist or psychologist (although I do have a Master’s in Educational Counseling) but as the daughter of a vicious narcissist I spotted her from the very beginning. I don’t expect the marriage to last. I feel so sorry for the children because neither parent seems sane or capable of decent parenting. Those poor kids are in for a lifetime of emotional pain.
@treasuretrovel38162 жыл бұрын
I also saw her narcissism and lack of sincerity from the very beginning-- For the same reason as you (daughter of a vicious narcissist). They all have the same playbook. I watched some old videos of Harry as a teen and young man acting out and how Charles clearly did not know what to do in public. I ended up feeling sorry for Charles. The narrative was that Diana was perfect and everything bad that happened to her was the fault of the Royal family. The truth is more grey than all that. She was from a very prestigious and rich noble family. Her sister, Sarah had also dated Charles. Kind of reminds me of Mary and Anne Boleyn both being offered to the king by their parents (also a grey area but none the less, Henry VIII bedded Mary and then Anne). Pictures of Diana walking through "a mine field" with a vest and helmet are staged, of course. Diana's biggest talent, it turns out, was playing the victim and playing to the press (even as she criticized the press and was the victim of the press she was at the same time using the press masterfully to direct her own narrative). It may well be that Diana pushed Charles back to Camilla because she entered the marriage with childish, mentally unstable, victim-loving, eating disordered behavior rather than the other way around (that Charles caused all her mental anguish). Probably the truth lies somewhere in between. At any rate, Harry would have had a better childhood had Diana spent less time having her affairs, brooding constantly and acting recklessly. This discussion focuses on Meghan's serious flaws and how awful it must be for Harry, long term, in a marriage with her but it is also the case that driven, intelligent, hard-working Meghan has to put up with whiny, un-intelligent, mentally unstable, pot-smoking Harry.
@5954ldydi2 жыл бұрын
@@treasuretrovel3816 I will agree with you on everything except for Princess Diana. Prince Charles as he was back then was having an affair with Camilla before he married Princess Diana -the affair just continued on. The problem was with the establishment who didn't, wouldn't and refused to accept Camilla into the inter circle. That was the beginning of a disaster. You can't fault Princess Diana from having major stress causing her to have a relapse with her bulimia. You try being a public figure, having two small children, a husband who is having not only an affair but an affair with someone he loved before he ever met Princess Diana -in fact Prince Charles never loved Diana. The worry for the future of her and her family with the added press and constant photographers following and chasing her around had to be enormous! There is no comparison of Princess Diana and Harry and Meghan really. Princess Diana did not choose to leave the royal family because of duty -she just wanted out of a marriage that was a lie. It was all for show. Prince Charles just used Diana as a baby maker to deliver the next heir's to the throne. Harry and Meghan left because they no longer wanted to have the responsibility and duties to the royal family. There is a HUGE DIFFERENCE!

What Meghan has completely misunderstood from day 1 is that being a royal family member _is a full-time job._ Their role is raising awareness, funding & the spirits of people through charity work... those unavoidable "commitments" are a royal's business meetings, when they 'clock on.' Those commitments in your calendar are fixed because there have been days or months of planning, booking venues & security, organising road closures, people paying for tickets to sit in a room with you _simply because you're a royal._ All Meghan had to do was show up & she would have all the attention she wanted.... and she couldn't even do that. Ambitious, she is not.
