I think the gait is just funny because it doesn't have much spinal movement yet, so it has to walk like an old man (not wanting to move his back because he could hurt himself). I was thinking the left hand going back might've been it also trying to (mimicing) to land on its hands in case it does fall.

It depends what you mean. It won’t look human entirely as there are joint and angle differences. But you do want natural in the sense of an athlete learning to throw or kick. At first they look awkward or unnatural… but later with practice efficient and natural using skill and better directed power.
