Analysts foresee challenges in DRC-SADC peacekeeping mission

South African security analysts believe that the country's national defence force will face some challenges as it leads Southern African Development Community troops in their peacekeeping mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The SADC troops were deployed in eastern DR Congo in place of the outgoing UN and East African peacekeeping missions.

Why No mention that parts of SADC have already about 1900 troops in the failed UN Peacekeeping mission MONUSCO, that's being kicked out ? South Africa has 1000 troops. Tanzania has 900 troops.

SA should never have been given the role to lead the SADC force. It is a regrettable mistake. The current Geopolitics does not support the SADC leadership role of SADC mission. SA is currently opposed to the USA and Israel, a sad development indeed. The opposed West have the potential to fortify Rwanda to unprecedented levels that can make the whole SADC forces look stupid in Eastern Congo. Please, I plead, let Angola lead the SADC forces. Angola is more neutral geopolitically than SA. Believe me. SA has sold herself out favour of USA and Israel by aligning herself to Russian Ideologies. Again, let Angola lead the SADC mission instead of SA.

It’s not a matter of M23 u know what I mean? Coz M23 Are the Congolese fighting for their right to live in their land without being killed by the government and their allies.😢 the only solution is to stop maltreatment of them. Otherwise they have full rights and dignity for their own country. Sadc will not defeat them coz they have nothing to lose. They have no where to run for, they’re just ready and willing to fight for their own state. Keep in mind Guys 2013 is different from 2024.
