Kind of a spoiler coming up: 9:06 the Hisui Arcanine form gets Rock Head as an ability, so the recoil of Flare Blitz is no problem. Oh and it also gets Head Smash
@thefinalskarm17542 жыл бұрын
Global note for Hisui Pokemon unless there are in game trades we know about, we don't know if they're HOME only, which will make them technically nat dex gen 9 until availability is given in game. (They are all? however in the code from memory). 4:14 a lot of these moves for hisui pokemon depend on if there's a method to obtain them in the base game ie, pre home! 8:18 SIgnal beam wasn't in gen 8! fuck electric coverage! 11:54 oh poor weavile (check the moves it lost sometime) 13:22 this might be an oversight as the move it replaces in the code for moves, which was a punching move. 16:14 Hisuian Braviary is looking very strong! It's Dream World ability is Tinted Lens and it still has Sheer Force like it's normal variation. 17:14 in PLA Shelter also made you "obscured" which was basically an evasion boost, It's a bit of a shame they didn't just make it +3 instead though as this is just fancy word iron defense. 20:21 Hisuian Samurott is looking INCREDIBLY strong. 21:07 PLA introduced moves will do that, they have very nice descriptions. 23:21 tbh at this point, Sheer Force Landorus - I just shouldn't be tested in OU, the things insane. 25:04 We're very deep into the comments, but a lot of pokemon get this move (could be a if you can use tm's you can learn it deal) so yeah have fun with the NEW hidden power! now featuring fairies! 27:41 it gives ghost a very good physical stab move, something they're desp- oh yeah poltergeist. 32:20 apparently there was a bug it'd hit 10 times all the time, but it got fixed! but WHAT a name I wonder if the casters will even be able to say it hahahaha. 34:39 you can just protect or switch, it's better than relying on dragon rush, or getting outraged into a fairy (seriously fk fairy's) 35:50 the way I think it works is, you use the move and that's your lock in for reviving, I'M not certain though, it could be after resolving the attack. 39:00 give you and your regigigas your opponents ability, nice intimidate there mate, here's a double intimidate, 100% better in doubles. 44:50 this one was shown off in trailers, you sub and immediately switch, would be BONKERS on something like, slowking for example (due to a certain move going bye bye). 45:25 I want to say this is a joke regarding Slowking in pokemon 2000 saying "I need pants" regarding it being in a blizzard. Moves honestly feel better than the DLC moves of swsh and don't make me wanna pull my hair out in doubles with expanding force turbo!

I feel you were pretty harsh on Glaive Rush. As moves go I think it's well-designed: -It fits Baxcalibur's role as a DD sweeper -If the opponent switches, the drawback is eliminated -It can't be played around like Outrage, only responded to. -Baxcalibur (almost certainly) learns Protect/Substitute/Something to offset the disadvantage this move gives. To be honest, I can see it leading to a lot of really interesting prediction scenarios in games - it's just used it, and you've switched in a faster mon - so do you stay in and attempt to KO it, or will it predict that and switch to its own resist, sacrificing its boosts for a gain in momentum? Do you switch out to preserve your mon, thereby losing the double damage effect? It's almost like a "bait" move in that way. I think it's cool idk
@hardworkingslacker72332 жыл бұрын
You could also slap a resist berry onto your Glaive Rush user to take the super effective priority moves to not have to forego coverage for protect or sub. It also isn't worse than a permanent -1 Def/SpD in my book too.

Even in early gen 8, Cramorant and Morpeko managed Under Used placements, but they’ve ended the generation in Subzero Used and Zero Used. Kleavor also getting sheer force seems good for stone axe since it also gets a critical hit chance, meaning you can increase the power of stone axe by a bit as well as setting up stealth rocks, and while i dislike typhlosion when the hisuian form gets into paldea, it will definitely have an ou niche since it basically has a ghost type scald, and it becomes much much stronger when you get the burn so anyone desperate enough for scald again will absolutely resort to typhlosion

Psyshield bash seems interesting to me as it sounds like they looked at skull bash and tried to make it not garbage, I think the move may be usable depending on what gets it and if what gets it has body press as psychic fighting coverage is ok aside for dealling with mons that are the two types seen in my profile picture as well as mons like aegislash or if the body press isn't stab and thing that 4÷ resists or is immune the psychic type and takes neutral from fighting might be trouble etc. We all know here the type chart so I am sure anyone reading this underatands why psychic+fighting is both good coverage but also requires a third move still. On another note I am kinda terrified of hisuian zoroak as with defog being taken from so many pokémon and all the spikes and toxic spikes given out the idea of using it as a U-turning spin blocker on teams seems disgusting as it gets stuff like wisp, taunt, priority, coverage and deadly set up moves(also hopefully it's move got nerf'd because it running around with a hex that has a scald burn rate seems hellish) Though I am skeptical still about it as zoroak isn't known to live up yo expectations but the addition of heavy duty boots to the thing if the item is in still may make it annoying as then you will have a hard time telling what is or is not the zoroak based on rocks/spikes damage and the idea of giving it free turns because you tried to spin on it unknowingly or not spining because you cannot tell if the opposing pokémon is it seems rather toxic as a guessing game but to be fair you can also guess which is zoroak to a degree as it comes out as the pokémon they have in the back but the issue is teams rearrange mid battle as players switch so it's not something you can easily calculate as games go on. I don't like zoroak personally as it's never been great and it's a boring and obnoxious gimmick I see people try and pull off like I don't know damn well that's a zoroak and Imma click focus blast on it because their ghost type is at 35%, zoroak in the tcg is also kinda something I hate as the modern versions of it are rather bs and I much prefered it's older style of card design

So they nerf Scald by making it inaccessible to a ton of Pokemon... and then proceed to introduce a shit ton of moves with unholy secondary effects and chance to proc them lmfao
