Pre recorded or not it’s still from 2024 and we get to hear how much her voice improved compared to the last few years, and i’m living for it. It already started to show last christmas but right now she sounds BEAUTIFUL.

I watched one of her shows earlier this year in April. Mariah is my #1 but I'm not delulu, she lip sang over 90% of the concert. I was simply paying for her presence which I'm totally cool with!

Her technique now is shot because nodules. Study her in 1993/1994. Lots of Endless Love performances that shows how her optimal was like

I do believe this is lipped and she has been lip syncing some other songs but its all new pre recordings of her CURRENT voice. The fact she still sounds this good is amazing to me. The queen has nothing to prove, yet she is still out here killing it in the studio. I feel like her confidence in live singing has deteriorated a lot and so she feels the need to be perfect all the time, hence the new pre recordings. But i honestly don't care cuz im loving her voice rn 😭 hopefully soon she gains back her confidence tho. And btw she actually brought the key of the song a semitone higher, to that of the daydream era. I think in the 2000's she brought the key done one full tone, but this year she raised it one semitone higher to the daydream key. So its one semitone lower than the og key but its one semitone higher than the key of the previous years.

THIS! I believe she can sing it live easily, but her perfectionism holds her back from doing that. Also her nodules can be unpredictable an unfortunately it makes her inconsistent, and with a residency she’s really trying to give a great show every night so people aren’t mad that they went on a “bad night”. Although a lot of people are forgetting about her 2023 Christmas tour vocals, she sang live a lot and it was in my opinion the best she’s sounded since 2018. Some songs were even sung better then 2018s Christmas tour vocals.

If she uses proper congruent mic technique when whistling is completely live. See how she leans back as she brightens the note, she knows she can overwhelm the mic and when she lip syncs she doesn't apply mic technique in whistles, and she always tries to look pretty so she wouldn't open her mouth and tilted the lips back over her teeth to shorten the vocal tract like she did, lower notes require extension of the tract by pursing the lips, higher notes need less tract

Hey Erika, loved your analysis. Just wanted to point out this is all pre-recorded. Mariah nowadays (especially in 2024) lips 99% of her vocals now. There’s a good video called the ‘celebration of miming’ which goes into it

I honestly think those lives were mostly lipped, including this one. We get a taste of live performance in the very last part in "turned out tooooo", but even the "BEEEE" was lipped, you can clearly see her mouth shaping an open "E" while the track sings a closed "I". She's also very still and strange, like she's tired. However, she already gave us a lot in the 90's, I don't blame her for this. Luv u
