the most awesome thing about anamorphics on the ronin 4d is that the flares are not jittery at all. Even in sportsmode :)

Great video thank you! I did not know that I am not supposed to do the crop factor calculation!

Best video on anamorphic in-camera stabilization. Crazy that Lumix is the only one with that feature. There is a "work around" for other cameras if the resulting horizontal focal length is used in the stabilization menu.

Hi Agustin, that's very interesting. So if the lens is 50mm and the squeeze is 2x you would set the focal length to 100?
@agustinsaavedra275223 күн бұрын
@@lucasventer Hi Lucas! yes, exactly that.

What do you think of guroflow? Have you ever used it? I have a Sony A7IV and I ordered Sirui 35 mm 1.33 anamorphic, and I would like to understand how to stabilize it in post with this program, if there is a pre-existing profile to load

Thank you for this exceptionally instructive video. What I haven't understand yet: if I can't tell my camera anywhere that I'm using an anamorphic lens, only the focal length of my lens, then what focal length do I use, the original one, for example 50 mm for a 50 mm lens or, with a stretch factor of 1.5, 33 mm?
@AnamorphicOnABudget22 күн бұрын
Use the focal length of the lens. No crop factor, no squeeze math.

Hi, just wondering. Is barrel distortion or pun cushion distortion provided in one lens? Or is it a characteristic of a certain brand and focal length? I am looking for a 35mm lens with sqeeze 1.6 and barrel distortion
@AnamorphicOnABudget7 күн бұрын
It varies from lens to lens, according to their design. There are some with pincushion, others are barrel, others are rectiliear.
@Jajajajanee7 күн бұрын
Thanks, can you recommend a 35mm 1.6 squeeze with barrel distortion?
@AnamorphicOnABudget7 күн бұрын
Only Sirui makes 1.6x squeeze lenses. But they don't have barrel distortion. So I can't recommend anything that fits that description.

What about vertical anamorphic ? If I mount my camera vertically but keep the lens straight (with PL mount) should I turn stabilization OFF ?
@AnamorphicOnABudget21 күн бұрын
This is too wild of a question. I'd say at that point you have to run your own tests. hahahaha. When in doubt, keep it off! :D

So did you quickly say near the end, if filming off a monopod, turn in body stabilisation "OFF"?
@AnamorphicOnABudget23 күн бұрын
I'd say if you're filming with most types of support, turn off stabilization (tripod, monopod, gimbal). I'd keep stabilization ON for easyrigs and handheld.
