He's probably afraid Io will break Milo's heart but based on how things are going for both of them, the parallel between Uncle Fran and Ceaser compared to Milo and Io might end up differently. Io and Milo have a shot due to their growing affection and mutual love for eachother. Like Ceaser, Io had high expectations placed by others and herself. An extreme overachiever who crumbles when she feels she isn't being above average. While Fran is a lot more calmer now, we saw how he started to throw hands with those boys back in school. So like Milo, he got defensive and let his emotions control him which led to violence. Honestly, the parallels are insane and I love how much thought was out into these animatics! They make me feel a rollercoaster of emotions from warm and cozy to ripping my heart out then trampling all over it. In a good way!

I feel as though Caesar, although he did a terrible thing and really hurt Fran, isn’t a disgusting horrible person. I’m not trying to justify his actions, but he was under pressure. A crowd of people, around him and Fran, pushing and shoving and cursing them out. A town full of people who would hate him as long as he lived. So, he shifted the blame, wary to protect himself. He was in the heat of the moment, and he probably (I’m not fully sure) didn’t know how badly this would affect Fran. He loved Fran as much as Fran loved him, it seems. But he was terrified about his own life, his own future, his family, all the friendships he’d built. So he had to sacrifice Fran to save himself. The ultimate betrayal. But he loved Fran. So much. You can tell by the look in his eyes.

As much of a jerk Caesar was in the flashbacks, I don't paint him as some kind of villain but , rather, a victim too. I'm making assumptions but I think he was also very in love with Fran as Fran does to him to. It was mainly societal pressure and also family pressure that made him selfish in his choices that, of course, led to both the doom of their relationship and to Fran's entire life (given how homophobic both his family and his peers were, I'm sure it ruined him in some way). I'm fairly sure Caesar didn't want or mean for this to happen to Fran, to them. He betrayed Fran for the risks. He's a high-school boy(?), he was risking a lot and more so often, a teenager would rather think of what's best for themselves. And the morbid reality of being forcefully outed, bullied, and disowned is something no teenager wants. This doesn't mean I applaud his choice at the end, I'm just saying that I somewhat understand why he made this selfish and bad choice. Also, I'm just imagining another reality in which Caesar made the other choice and defended Fran and now they live together somewhere, raising lemon boy together. I'm also making an assumption that the girl at the end is Caesar's daughter and I feel as if they are estranged. And I'm making an assumption that the reason so is somehow related to Caesar's hypothetically lifelong regret of his lost first love that he ruined and maybe because of that reason, there's a possible divorce and maybe Caesar going off the rails. With that being said, I do want a reunion or some sort of closure between Caesar and Fran (maybe even rekindle this first love again, it would be angsty and slowburn though) as I know how much Fran was affected by the choice Caesar made in the end. Overall, I love LOVE this animatic! (aight time to get back on grinding my assignments T_T)

I just found this series and I must say, it is absolutely amazingly gorgeous. You two are so talented and creative, I can't even imagine the effort, time and thought that goes into these animatics. here's my two cents about this- caesar is participating in a tournament of some sort. when their classmates interrupt them, the kids (probably his teammates) are talking about how they're going to the nationals. we don't know what tournament, but caesar just gives me debate vibes so much! even though there's no reason that it wouldn't be like a math tournament. I can easily imagine him on a stage while occasionally winking at fran sitting in the audience

He is their father I’m just saying that. 1-) Io and Monaco are half sibling and they have same fathers, they don’t want to use their fathers surname so they use their moms surname which makes their surname different from each other. 2-) Their father lives neither of them and they don’t know their father, Io knows he is an author and he is trying to find himself she is still kind to his father but Monaco doesn’t like her dad. 3-) It says Caesar is Bi and his parents probably forced him into a marriage with a rich family’s daughter and he had his first daughter Monaco (20) but he was unhappy with it then he forced to marry another rich family’s daughter and had Io (18) but he broke up with his second wife too cuz he was unhappy and then he started living alone writing poems about Fran. 4-) They also look very very similar with both appearances and body languages. Monaco and Io have black hair yet Caesar have black hair, Monaco have yellow eyes oh and also Caesar have yellow eyes. 5-) If that’s doesn’t sound like they are related yet you can see Io and Caesar act same, they have different personalities, maybe they have same personality traits too but their way of act, their body language is so similar like same!! That’s what Fran saw in Io’s eye isn’t it?? He saw Caesar in her eyes and also in other animations the way Io acts is probably a reference for Caesars body language. Authors also said it’s final coming to conclusion whic I think that’s what they mean by it. 6-) Also Caesar’s betrayal, his parents especially his father physically abused him you can see wound son his hand and yet he started to wear gloves but we can still see the wounds on his hand slightly, he also wears so many bandages on his neck hand and arms. And the way he was looking so traumatized when his classmates said how would his father react when he finds about it, he blamed our beloved Fran bcs he was so scared. He didn’t want to say it tho. Also author liked ur comment that’s a sign too innit? I feel bad for Caesar too, but I also feel so many anger to him like why didn’t he tried to find him somehow when he became older! But maybe their parents would leave him behind if he ended up /w Fran (ofc they would they are homophobic) and also maybe Fran wouldn’t accept Caesar if he did apologize… Also if he did ended up with him we wouldn’t see his two daughters and Io x Milo, so I’m not mad but still mad.

In their website it says both of the sisters doesn’t want to use their fathers name and they have same fathers and different surnames, I guess they are his daughters. Maybe he forced to get married with another rich family’s daughter and had Monaco Park (the older sis who is 20) she is also rich and she doesn’t care about her father (it says on the website) and Io Seinfeld (18) is her younger sis from another mom who is also rich as we can understand and she doesn’t like his father too but she still being nice to him (it says on the website) and Caesar Bentley is also rich. Maybe he forced to get married and he ended up having Monaco but he was unhappy with the marriage then he broke up with his wife then his parents forced him to marry again and he had Io but he was still unhappy and he left them. It says on the website Monaco thinks his father is irresponsible, it says on Io’s bio their father does not live with either of them and in her bio it says she doesn’t know what her father is doing but it says she knows her father is an author and he is always out to find himself. It says Caesar is Bi, it seems like his father was beating him because he was hiding his hands with gloves and we can see wound on his hand, he also has so many bands on his neck, hand and arms, he seems so scared when his “friends” said what his father think when he finds out his relationship with Franklin he would beat him again more than he ever did and it seems like he was so scared that he blamed Fran and said he forced him. Maybe he feels so bad for betraying his one and only true love than he end up divorce his first and second wife only to write poems about Fran and hoping to find him someday and hoping to get a conversation of what happened to say he is sorry and he would say he’s ok if Fran doesn’t forgive himself bcs he did so much to forgive and maybe he was trying to find his true self and this is why he left his daughters bcs he doesn’t like the idea of having two daughters from two women he doesn’t love. Maybe that’s why Fran looked Io like this… Maybe he realized that she could be the Caesar’s daughter bcs they have the similar energy plus they look very very similar when they smile or look even their personality’s are different. This might be true bcs I predicted so many things in storys, that’s probably bcs I play so many games and watch shows and rate them plus I watch people who rate shows professionally and I do watch so many theories (mostly game theory but I watch so many other theories about my fav shows or games etc,my game theory fan arc in my childhood lmao) I do also write some story’s like this /w my OC’s but they are still WIP I am not an author after all… Bit I might guess it true, I can predict irl things and movies when they r happening and in movies it’s very bad skill that it comes naturally and when it comes out true this could ruin the show so I say this to my annoying friends and predict their shows future and make them suffer lmao (if it bothers me I’ll bother my annoyed ones too if they deserve it but mostly I don’t do that much bcs I don’t want to ruin it but that one “friend” that do so many bad things to me yet she is still my friend I do my best to ruin her fav storys and spoil it)

At 0:30 you can see Caeser's hand fill with wounds and bandages, and according to the how he reacted when others mention how his dad gonna react. It's safe to say Caeser probably getting beat up regularly by his dad, for him to be the "perfect child". Since Caeser's the only son (I think from the beginning of the vid) so if his dad find out he's gay, it would not be something as simple as being disown, it would be something more aggressive and abused. I won't justified anything Caesar done to uncle Fran, that was horrible. But man the tragedy

Was looking for crumbs for whether io is related to caesar in previous videos, and if you pay attention in the "would you be so kind" animatic, when io and milo jump into the water, io grabs milos hand and raises her finger to her mouth to say something like its a secret, EXACTLY just like how caesar held frans hand and brought his finger to his mouth :O. I guess this heavily implies again that caesar and io are related

If we're going by the theory that Io is Caesar's daughter, then it's interesting to see how Caesar appears pressued to be the best, just like how Io was. Its hinted that Caesar's dad has high expectations which Caesar tried to hold to, and its possible that he could have put the same pressure on Io that his dad put on him
