See the case of gaza. every 3rd video I open an advertisement pops up. that people are suffering, no food etc. Why not also show the suffering of israeli women and children as captives. Their internet game is better than us. These sort of videos mostly circulate among indians and even among them many who thought of them as liberal just label us as andhbhakts... I could keep typing for hours but I guess as like most of Hindus I don't have the strength to keep debating these stuffs knowing people couldn't care less. Totally incorrect, Hindu extremism is not synonymous with the life of a sanyasi. In fact, the epitome of Hindu extremism is often portrayed as embodying the ideal of "Maryada Purushottam." On the contrary, associating sanyasis solely with extremism would be more fitting within the realm of Buddhist extremism, if one were to categorize it as such.

@@TheWarriorWriter I think we should first learn ourselves first and then teach & preach those who are in close vicinity. As far as protests from Muslims, we simply have to stop caring. If they don't like something they can go and not do it or take their kids out of the schools. No need to impose it on them either as that goes against Hindu ethics. But also no need to be shy of our culture. Yoga needs to be re-hinduized as it's a thing many youngsters do but it has been deracinated from it's Hindu roots. If the Temples become free from govt control or if atleast the funds from the temples be made available for Hindu use them we can have our own schools, Hospitals etc where poor people can be helped who are being Ricebagged by missionaries. We can start by learning Sanskrit and making it more popular as it's the liturgical language of our Religion. Philosophy like Vedanta etc needs to be revived back rather than just Puranic stories because without Philosophy our Religion cannot function or survive on just stories and rituals. Philosophy provides the inner meaning.

While this may be true, he isn't considering the possibility or reality that people don't always abide by the books and follow them 100 percent. Yes bhagwan Krishna tells us to follow and protect Dharma which he demonstrated thru his leelas in Mahabharata. In the Mahabharata Pandavas were sent to vanvaas, Kauravas bullied them so much , Pandavas even got ready to settle for 5 villages but duryodhana said mai tume sui jitna bhumi bhi nahi dunga. Then Krishna tells Arjun to do a Dharma yudh and recites Bhagavad Gita to tell him that he is not wrong in going to war against his own family as this is a Dharma yudh. Mahabharata shows that violence should never be the 1st resolve. If kurus had given those 5 Village kurukshetra could have been avoided but when it got too extreame,war was necessary. I am not a Gandhi bhakt who thinks violence is against our principles. But violence should never be the 1st resolve. If we were pro violence PPL a war would have happened right when Kauravas deny to give 1/2 kingdom to Pandavas. The conversation would not even reach the 5 Villages point. We are PPL of both shaastr(scriptures) and shashtra(weapons). We must protect hindus and educate hindus about their scriptures so they they don't get brainwashed and converted first, and work on Ghar wapsi. But we also need to make sure this happens peacefully without turning into a civil war as we're eyeing dreams to being a super power, a Vishwa Guru and gaining back our stature in the world.

Before asking the question "what if hindus become fanatic and extreme?", just look at history. Hinduism and other dharmic faiths have a long history of moderation, tolerance and mutual acceptance. Of course there are and will be exceptions. But let's not miss the wood for the trees.

Hinduism / Sanatana Dharma's did indeed go extreme. Two of those occasions resulted in 2 wards that saw the annihilation of dynasties. On both the occasions, the objective was to prevail Dharma and vanquish Adharma in the form of Asuric forces...rakshasas that need to be wiped off 1) The war in Ramayana 2) The war of Mahabharatha These are 2 examples of extremeness of Sanatana Dharma in the human realm. The wars were not the first option. Every option on table was executed to maintain harmony with the opponents, to undo the injustice, whether it is Sita's kidnapping in Ramayana or restoring Pandava's kingdom in Mahabharata. But, the Adharmic forces never learnt their mistake but only grew extreme in their viciousness. So, when all options ended, when the door has been shut on every avenue, Dharma took it's extreme stance, and it won, and it prevailed. And, it will repeat. For there are mleccha Adharmic forces amidst us today.

In dharmic traditions, the word a-dharma applies to humans who fail to perform righteously; it does not mean refusal to embrace a given set of propositions as a belief system or disobedience to a set of commandments or canons. What is dharma? Dharma has the Sanskrit root dhri, which means "that which upholds" or "that without which nothing can stand" or "that which maintains the stability and harmony of the universe." Dharma encompasses the natural, innate behavior of things, duty, law, ethics, virtue, etc. Every entity in the cosmos has its particular dharma -- from the electron, which has the dharma to move in a certain manner, to the clouds, galaxies, plants, insects, and of course, man. Man's understanding of the dharma of inanimate things is what we now call physics. Religion applies only to human beings and not to the entire cosmos; there is no religion of electrons, monkeys, plants and galaxies, whereas all of them have their dharma even if they carry it out without intention.

It is not true that Hindu will become more fanatic. Let's take an example, 2 groups of 100 people one with an extreme idea of hindutva/Hinduism and one with moderate left ideas, after a discussion of 2-3 hours the extreme hindutva idea people will change the stance to moderate left idea if they have valid points 10-30% people from one side will change the stance and from moderate left to hindutva will be maybe 5-15%.

Anand Ranganathan states that the core of Islam is conversion or extermination while the core of Hinduism is acceptance of diversity. While this may be true, he isn't considering the possibility or reality that people don't always abide by the books and follow them 100 percent. The actions and thoughts of people are not 100 percent controlled by religion. Then how can he conclude that extreme Hinduism is not a possibility just because it doesn't go with the definition of Hinduism?

Hinduism will and cant become extreme because its so diverse. There are multiple schools of thoughts, practices , different local traditions. There is also no pontiff whose word is the last rule . Even atheists and materialists are considered part of Hindu fold . Its like a big ocean which takes good things from others and is very fluid for change unlike abrahamic religion which is very rigid in nature. A faith with so much differences of thought and fluidity can't congregate into a crusader missionary philosophy.
