Bardock surviving Dodoria's attack sealed Planet Vegeta's fate, since it confirmed that the Saiyan's were indeed becoming too strong. If they all got oneshot, maybe Frieza would have reconsireded, since his crew could still deal with them easily, maybe giving the Saiyan race some more time to realize what will happen to them eventually if they don't fight Frieza. What I am thinking is probably a huge stretch but is still fun to think about the irony of it all if what I think is indeed true.

You've definitely got a talent for scriptwriting and editing. Minimal effects and no noticeably artificial cuts not related to depicting what's being discussed- consistent and respectful of the audience and their intelligence.
