With all of that wind, great job with the audio!! So many videos would have picked that up. A+ on production and A+ on content. Thank you for a great video!!

Just like rotating tires to even the wear.....That's a sweet target AJA! I imagine you and fellow archers can make a shooting game out of those dice targets. I seen Dart Board mats that tac on to targets for games vs fellow archer friends.

Looks like a great target, but I wouldn’t want to use it for broadheads much. I recently got a Rhino Block with replaceable insert which I think is great for broadhead practice. Shoot field points at the outer edge spots, broadheads only at the insert.

Great video. I just bought the smaller target because that was all the store had for broadhead crossbow target. So happy I did. My 5 yr old can almost pull out the bolts himself.

Have 2 of the originals, takes broad heads from both my turbo m1 and bulldog 440 like a champ, my rhinehart 18-1 will stop anything but will be more than a work out to retrieve your arrow and can rip insert out. Looking at this as an additional. Good video

Think you could spray paint those white dots back to white when you dingy them up from driving all those arrows in the white dots?
@averagejackarchery4 жыл бұрын
You probably could, although I've never tried. The foam's exterior coating has a glossy sealer feel too it (don't know if it's an actual coating or just the way the foam seals into closed cell form) so paint back on might not take super well, I don't know. I found myself just using sticker dots like what rifle shooters would use and putting them into fresh spots on the target I hadn't shot yet.

Are yours under sized? My big high roller only measures around 15-3/8” side to side measured in all directions.

This video is 2 years old. Post covid and Texas freeze with the foam shortages, all targets have either gone up massively in price or shrunk a little bit.

Would you recommend a foam target for a casual target archer like myself who wouldn't be using broadheads? Or would you recommend a bag target?
@averagejackarchery4 жыл бұрын
Morrell makes a litany of bag style targets that I would highly recommend to a person shooting just field points. I own both the Extreme 3 and the YJ450 and have zero complaints after hundreds of shots.

So I watched this the other day and maybe you covered why this one is worth twice the price of the High Roller 21. I’m going back to fixed broadheads and so I really do need another foam target besides my layered and 3D targets. Going to new, heavy high FOC carbons so tuning from scratch. Any other non layered foam targets I should consider or would this one be the most bang for the buck?
@averagejackarchery4 жыл бұрын
The original High Roller is a steal of a broadhead target if you can find one for what would probably be a lowered price. Mine was beyond abused and still held up well. Unfortunately outside of Rhinehart and a few smaller companies I'm unfamiliar with, there aren't a lot of solid foam targets on the market.

I can’t find one anywhere... every website is sold out! Do you have any insight as to where/when I can get one ASAP?

Unfortunately COVID has ruined a lot of supply chain related things and backed up a lot of manufacturers in the industry from strings to targets.

As always great review on the target!! Only thing I think needed to be addressed is how easy are the arrows or bolts to remove from the target?? Maybe another review?? Or added review? Thanks

Arrow pull is excellent! The only change being when it's nasty cold outside it can be a bugger like a solid 3D target. But I just combat that by keeping it out of the elements and pulling it out of the garage or basement when I need to shoot in the snow.
@johnschmit99034 жыл бұрын
Thanks AJ. Pulling arrows out is just another concern of mine with target's especially if kids are using to shoot the crossbow into. I think they should be able to do it themselves. Thanks again for your efforts!!

Tell me about it. Foam supplies are in the toilet with Covid. They've had a brand new target I have in my shed that I've been wanting to do a video on for months but can't tease too much as supplies are so short they don't have the order capacity yet.

Nice job on the video. It is probably great for vertical bows, but I shoot a crossbow. A Deathstalker 380. I bought one of these and with a 505 grain arrow I was shooting right through the target and it was right away. Maybe I got a bad one, but I had to return it. Mine was the smaller version by the way. There's a promotional video out where they shot it with a faster setup than mine and it stopped those arrows. But still, it didn't work for me.

Mine weight in at 475gr and shoots 385fps and mine were punching through the back on the small one. The big high roller stops my annihilator xl 150gr with no problem. Btw Morrell has the best customer service I've ever experienced.
