If you have to replace your sink Faucet will be able to? Or the upper cabinets will be on the way ??
@larrysherman52544 жыл бұрын
That was such a dramatic improvement. Looks great. But, as a retired fire inspector/investigator, I had to cringe a bit. You've created a "Dead Air" space above the cabinet that you used for demonstration. No matter if it's a smoke, CO, or combination detector, natural rising air currents will tend to flow away from this spot because of the crown molding and further hampered by the ceiling beams flanking it. It will still probably activate, but what ever the alarm condition is, will be a lot heavier, i.e., smoke or Carbon Monoxide before enough reaches it to set it off. But, that's just my opinion. If it were my home, I'd relocate the detector.

I was browsing ShelfHelp today, I have two items in my cart! I was looking to build an IKEA style hemnes shoe cabinet (beside my window seat) but the smallest depth I could go on the calculator was 11.5 in. I need 8.5in! I’m using for paper storage, not shoes. Anyway, did you get a dishwasher for your coffee bar/counter yet? I think you should look at getting a Breville The Barista Express™ BES870XL Espresso Machine. It takes coffee to the next level. It’s a splurge but one we made last year, just make it birthday, anniversary and Christmas all in one, so worth it!!

You did a great demo, however, we never could figure out all the angles! When we did my kitchen, we bought the inner n outer crown moulding blocks in Home Depot. Then did straight cuts and nailed everything in place. We caulked and painted it. Looks great. But could have looked more professional this way. I wish we could figure out all these angles, but we could not.

This is a great look to an even better kitchen. It so def needed that last toych which was the crown 👍 Great work. BTW, I'd like to do a similar job but have a question. My wall cabinets are 42" & even after the top of the cabinet I'm left w/10 inches of space 😣 I was thinking of bldg a soffit to go above them but was thinking the crown would look sort of silly right there in the middle? Any suggestions or reference vids I can check out?

33.9, 33.1 ... bevel... angle? Last time I did this I just did 45' degree angles. And it was with crown moulding too... not a straight square moulding. Am I missing something?
@daffyduck82442 жыл бұрын
You make it sound more difficult than it has to be. Just cut some scrap angle inside and outside cuts hold up to your moulding, mark it with your pencil . Now you don't have to work your brain so hard. This has help me from all the aggravation when cutting moulding. I hope this helps ypu :^)

Rookie question - if and when do you change blades on your circular saw? Or do you have a kind of all purpose blade?

Quick question; you said 33.9 but on the video shows 34.9. Did you change that angle off the camera or you had to change it because due to an adjustment that you had to make? Thank you and a great video.

Bevel at 33.9 and Angle 31.6 ?? can someone please explain these angles. I thought you'd do 45* all around if the that's the application
@mike-cq9wk3 жыл бұрын
This method will easier because you don't have to hold your crown molding upside down on the miter saw. Also it is really hard to hold your crown molding in position; you have to clamp it, draw a line etc. These number that is given already calculated for you which will you the same 45 degree cut. But these number will change when you need to cut less than 45 or more. I think you can find the table online for free. Just try on some scrap wood before you attempt to make sure it really works. I hope that helps.

@@AnaWhiteDIY LOLOL now it sounds much better...I have my home in ruins after Harvey and no matter how i try to find affordable materials to fix little by little the whole house is nearly impossible. Keep the good job and teaching us how things are done...Blessings to you and yours...
