I, too, would need to consider a sliding door or something that would not extend so far into the room. I want to do this for a sloping wall in the loft area of a tiny house. Will consider your barn door idea from your guest room cabinet, I suppose. Few of your projects would work in our space but I love to see your family and the local scenery... It's really what I tune in for along with the inspiration if not the exact project. Your personalities are what really make this fun for me.

Hey, you picked up a new subscriber from this build. It’s a long story but I was trying to brain storm how to finish our knee walls in the future family room over our garage. I had left openings for access but, my wife was not pleased with having to crawl in and try to pull bins and stuff so, I needed a new approach. The hang up for me was still using the live edge hemlock boards I want for the walls. I’ve got an idea how to do it now, building it as doors with concealed hinges so it still LOOKS like a solid wall BUT, it will be individual sections that my wife can easily access without having to crawl in! We’re both 62 so such an act of aerobics, isn’t as simple as it once was!😁 thanks for an idea AND, my wife is a crafter…her craft room is challenging my workshop 🤣 so I’ll be sharing your channel with her for the crafting stuff I see you have! Love the doors!

Love the use of that space and the solution of the doors to make it functional! Here was my thought watching you build the doors, if a couple doors had either frames with peg board inserted in or drilled your own peg holes into the plywood for her to store her arts and crafts on like a functional storage twist to the solid doors ... maybe excessive but for a later project it’d be neat. It looks like you have a window in that closet? The peg ply doors would allow extra light into the space. Anyways I’m silly and I love the project as it is and am grateful to you for sharing 🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼

Ana - congrats on your success and everything you do. Heres hoping you and the family are feeling safe and healthy during this time. Quick question, have you ever done a video on building something similar as "eaves storage" but rather each section of this storage space would come straight out toward you either on heavy duty drawer glides or casters of some sort. We are in the process of converting a very small attic and framing closet space in the room just eats up too much real estate. Going to build something similar to you and your husband but feel we need to have each opening slide towards you with a hanging bar in each given it's the only closet storage in the space. We are troubleshooting via how to do so...and even though you always see pics of it online....you never quite get to see what was done or how it was built. Anyhow, we just found your channel and so I thought I would toss the question out to you. Again, its similar to your space except maybe a lower ceiling and your storage space is taller than what we can do. The goal is for us to lay a bottom plate at around 50" so that a rod could sit down around 42" and slide out. Even if our depth of these pull out drawers is only 24"...we have 12' to be able to use all the space for it. Anyhow, any thoughts, specific details, how to build or lay the track or another outside the box idea...would be great. If not, continued success and please stay safe out there. Happy Holidays to all of you. Jp

While watching this video I got an idea. Take off some of the knee wall doors off, and build drawers with the back of the drawer following the slope of the attic ceiling. In this way Grace will have a lot of drawer space which makes it easier to access the space behind the knee wall doors.
