@@heygetoffmylawn1572 I just typed out a message for you and it vanished. I was telling you about my sister passing away too. 11 months ago. I hate it when that happens. You get the picture. 3 Days before she dies I CAME DOWN WITH double pneumonia. I woke up in an ICU Unit with a machine breathing for me. Found out she had died while I was in a coma. Her youngest daughter told me how it all went down. So you can imagine . This last year 2019 was nothing but bad stuff happen. Niece said she was screaming and fighting all the way up to the end. I wish I could have been there. I would have made hospice sedate her. So, she could pass peacefully. She was so frightened of dying. Stuff been eating me up. Now I'm the baby of the family. You know... I still can't cry. I sure need some closure. I tried. I relly did. Went and bought a new truck just soI could drive to Missouri to bring her to Texas and live with me. I'm proud of your carpenter skills. But I'm absolutely beaming with pride, as if you were my son, because of the father you are! So precious Daddy. All my kids were raised around us building houses for a living....the memories are so cherished. All the best to your little family.

This is so awesome, man. It's one thing to build a cool concealed safe behind a mirror, but it's a whole thing to do it all properly with nice varnish on the wood, paint on the studs under the wood even though nobody sees them, nice clean walls around the safe in the closet where almost nobody will see, putty between the edges of the drywall, etc. You did really great work here. I'm pretty envious of this project. I wish I had carpentry chops like yours. And your daughter is absolutely adorable. The true star of the show!

This brought back wonderful memories of me being daddy's little helper since I was 2. It's very important for a dad to spend time like this with his daughter. I spent almost every Saturday of my childhood in the tool department of sears. Till this day I love going to hardware stores to browse. When I was 4 I drilled some holes in the brand new kitchen floor because I wanted to be like daddy. Needless to say my parents were NOT pleased. So you gotta watch out because they will copy what you do.

This is the most priceless "DIY" video ever... We had all girls in our family and we all loved "helping" dad with things like this :) it's great, cause I grew up knowing how to fix and build things and have only had to call a maintenance guy once, and that's only cause I didn't have the tools with me when I first moved into a new place... It's very empowering to know how to use and what tools for the job :)

30+ yrs in the industry and this makes me smile.. to see (I'm assuming) a cabinet maker working his way through a carpentry project. Both are very specialized skill sets and two distinctly different crafts that most lump into one category. But the truth is, most carpenters can't build cabinets and vise versa.. for myself, I was a commercial and residential carpenter for 20 some yrs before I was any good at building custom cabinets. I had installed more than I could count but custom built is and was a whole other dimension that requires a completely different set of tools and way of thinking. So kudos my man. I'll hold any critique and just say.. Respect! the finished product speaks for itself. Ok I'll admit it .. the baby made me smile too 🔨👷♂️

The bond between a father & daughter has always been the most pure thing ever. I'm positive the video is only intended for footage at her wedding. Only a loving father would think of things, to secretly have. Little girls change men, the moment they are born, but its funny how dads live them more. There aren't many father's out there, at least new father's that still hold the hearts of their daughter's heart. God bless the hand, that holds the one's we love.

Right?!? I'm really out of touch with childhood development stages, never even having a close friend or family member raise a child through infancy around me, so I was surprised by that. And later he said, "stay there" and even though she wanted to crawl over there she didn't. I can't judge children's ages either, so I don't know how old she is, but by sheer looking at her, in her little diaper, I didn't expect that level of linguistic comprehension. This is just ignorance in my part. It really reinforces, to me, how important this kind of stimulation (actually taking to them with "real" speech) and quality time must be during earlier stages than I would have expected. He reminds me of my dad, except it was motorcycle parts. And she's adorable.

@@michaelc3977 I'm not arguing the second part. I'm arguing the blanket generalization of the first. The whole point was to point out the flaw in that generalization through jest, but you decided to resort to an ad hominem about my parentage instead of making a counterpoint.
@icebergmm4 жыл бұрын
@@michaelc3977 First, how does claiming my parents didn't parent me, and thus lacked common sense, have anything to do with the argument at all? Second, I was merely arguing with the phrasing of the idiom not the message. I do believe the message. It should be "common sense", but then again if "common sense" were common then everyone would have it thus rendering the idiom moot.

The mirror project was amazing but the interaction between daddy and daughter was priceless. It took me back to times with my own 2 daughters 30 years ago…memories are forever. I hope mom shows daughter this when she reaches the age she begins rebelling against daddy and if doesn’t melt her in her shoes something wrong with her.
