Kids don’t really care what you’re working on. Just as long as you’re doing it together. My nephew even liked helping unclog drains. He was helping and got a sense of accomplishment. Now he does all kinds of DYI projects. Proud of him. He’s a hard worker.

The hardest part is not being able to pick up the phone and call him when I have a problem with my electrical, plumbing, car, it just seems like that he knew you had to fix everything no matter what it was he never called anybody to do work at our house he did everything. And like I said the part I miss the most is just been able to pick up the phone and call him and ask him how to fix the problem. Sorry for your loss man. I feel it.

@@heygetoffmylawn1572 I just typed out a message for you and it vanished. I was telling you about my sister passing away too. 11 months ago. I hate it when that happens. She had end stage Cancer when she found out. It was to late. I pretty much raised her. Taught her all the little things in life. Like how to tie her shoes, wash her hands, eat with a fork. You get the picture. 3 Days before she dies I CAME DOWN WITH double pneumonia. I woke up in an ICU Unit with a machine breathing for me. Found out she had died while I was in a coma. Her youngest daughter told me how it all went down. So you can imagine . This last year 2019 was nothing but bad stuff happen. Niece said she was screaming and fighting all the way up to the end. I wish I could have been there. I would have made hospice sedate her. So, she could pass peacefully. She was so frightened of dying. Stuff been eating me up. Now I'm the baby of the family. You know... I still can't cry. I sure need some closure. I tried. I relly did. Went and bought a new truck just soI could drive to Missouri to bring her to Texas and live with me. Had Hospice all set up for hr. I just never planned on me getting sick. Sucks...............................................

Aspiring craftsman my foot ! 1. Superb fit and finish. 2. Very nice garage shop. 3. Best looking helper I have ever seen. 4. Darn good videography. 5. Not one second of time was repetitive jabber or stupid graphics. Taking into consideration all of the above I do believe this is the best video I have ever run across on the internet. Now, I will admit the fact that this craftsman looks like my son did 30 years ago and the “craftsman’s” assistant is about the age of my beautiful great granddaughter may have slightly influenced my objectivity.

You are what makes America great. !!! Family man working hard combining his time with his child and family. Using your brains and your hands. Not an expert but trying hard. Showing your children how to do with your hands . Your baby was the star of your video. It is exactly what my my father showed me. I remember him making my own tool box and my first set of tools. I’m weeping because I just lost my hero dad. Truck driver, working man. 89 with medical trouble. My three boys are like you. Willing to work with their hands . All grown men. When my son went to Kindergarten, all the kids were interviewed by the teacher. One of the goals at that time was to get them to count to 100. The teacher came out from the interview with a confused look on her face and said, "Your son can count to 36, then his numerical world ends. He even understands fractions...but nothing past 36. Why is that?" Simple. From the time he could walk he would help me in the shop and we measured everything on a yardstick I had screwed to my bench. Now he's studying network engineering at Purdue, but I'll never forget the times we spent in the shop...and the side benefit of learning to count to 36
