Ancel FX2000 Review Scan Tool Reset Check Engine, ABS, SRS Light

Thank you for this video , my brother got me the same exact ancel fx2000 you have, mainly because my 2012 ISF check engine and trac light has turned on. I got the car while I was living on Hawaii Honolulu, for the 2yrs I drove it as a daily driver. I moved back to Guam and had the ISF shipped , I was using 93 octane on Hawaii, here on Guam the highest octane is 91, after 2 days of driving the check engine and track off light came on. Hopefully when I receive the scanner and follow the directions you show it will clear up the codes.. Once again thank you for this informative video. Shops here charge $75 for the diagnostic, Ak Lexus Guam dealership/stealership was charging me $90 to $100 for the same diagnostic. And more if the sensor(s) need to be replaced. This scanner is worth it and will definently save me money.

Thanks for the great feedback and you may find that the gas octane is not the reason. If you it's abs or speed sensor issue please check the connection and if possible gently clean the the sensor using some brake cleaner before you start replacing parts. Often times the Trac control system will trigger the check engine light. Best of luck and let me know what you find. _Randomfix

Yes, it can check 4wd modules. As far you not having fed, I'm not sure what to say. Let me know what you discover.

Yeah you should be able to read wheel sensor speeds to trouble shoot your issue.

You need a scantool that van access the wheel speed sensor. I always the actually sensor and clean off any metal shavings that can be on sensor. Start there and do a visual on the wiring too

I'm not sure about other global markets. This tool works for toyota Tacoma ( hi lux is other market). I hope that helps and we also don't have a Isuzu dmax here in the USA.

Yes this can reset a oil light however each car is different so with some you would the tool and other you have to mamanually do a series of steps to reset the oil / maintenance light.

Will the fx2000 tell me if a cylinder has a misfire and which cylinder or rich/lean cylinder? Will it give real time engine run/drive data?

Hi Jeff, Yes it will tell which cylinder is misfiring however it can't detect if a individual cylinder is running rich/lean. That because the oxygen sensor is used on the exhaust system as a whole not at each cylinder. So for a 4 cylinder in line motor there is two oxygen sensors normally on before the catalyst and one after the catalyst. If your vehicle is running rich you can disconnect the electrical clip without disassembling everything and you be able to pinpoint your cause cylinder or fuel injector. If your running rich also look for block or clogged air filters as well. If you running lean look for low fuel pressure at the fuel rail and clogged fuel filters/ fuel injectors . Yes, I was able to check transmission fluid temps however eventhough you clear transmission codes it doesn't mean it will clear permanent codes. _Randomfix

Hi. I swapped out my driver seat because it had tears in the leather. And now the SRS light is on because I didn’t disconnect the battery when I swapped them and I also moved my car from the street to the driveway without the seat inside. Will this tool be able to clear the code in that situation? The front seats have airbags and I swapped it out with an identical seat. Thank you.

That is a good question that I cannot answer, it depends on the interface, we use obd2 and the protocol varies from car to car.

@@BigEightiesNewWave ended up getting a Bosch Bluetooth diag and linked to an old tablet laying around it's pretty intuitive for $50 can use on Android phones not sure on apple get a full read with detailed REPORT on one car and have to sub for more vehicles but this is normal for full reports it has generic and OEM codes it's a OBD reader and does reset dash etc would recommend it's US product US customer service.
