I am a black American woman and I lived in Balkans and Eastern Europe and honestly you look exactly what your results show! Living in Hungary and visiting all the former Soviet countries other than Russia you look very much of their background. With some American black thrown in so I would say those result are pretty accurate! Me personally I am black American and Norwegian and English, like you I came out about half and half exactly also! He hee. That said due to me NOT being of Balkan, Finno, or Slavic at all in any way I really did not connect with that area of Europe and they are not fond of blacks from the USA or even the Europeans of my background either! I guess that is why I fit I live in Sweden! He hee. Nice vid!

Yeah, that is most likely bc your mother also had some european/white dna. So that means that 4% of the european came from your mother's side. You always get 50% of dna from your mom and 50% from your dad... but dna is randomly seletected, so that means your siblings' dna could be completely different.

You sound quite sad about the European part, but instead of being angry, you should learn more about your people. You'll find out that they did a lot of great things, like ending slavery around the world: Literally all the world was participating in slavery for thousands of years, but then France and UK went on a quest to end it everywhere. They were very successful in doing so and paid a very high price in buying slaves to free them. It was so expensive that the debt of that was just recently paid back (2015 I believe), because e.g. Africa and Middle East had such a vast amount of slaves. There were more things as well, like reducing absolute monarchy and caste system, to give more people everywhere the rights and freedom, which Europeans had fought for. Also all the other things like freedom of speech and freedom of religion, which would have got you killed in many other places, before the colonial powers enforced liberalism. So, don't be angry and try to be a force for good, freedom and truth, just like your people. Also I would do more research into literally all of history. In US schools and US media there is far too much propaganda and lies, because Murricans seem to be obsessed with appeasing these racist weirdo supremacists (like the ones supporting e.g. Critical Race Theory).

I have found your results really interesting! I rarely see eastern europeans mixed with africans (both africa-american or just african) so this was refreshing to see. I thought I would explain the european a little bit, as I myself am a romanian/croatian/bulgarian/hungarian mix. The east europe category isn't really referring to Romania or Serbia, as those two are more closely considered south slavs and native balkan genetically speaking (by native balkan i mean eastern mediterranean tribes). So east europe is more about West and East Slavs. Tho not really, it's a bit mixed and complicated, anyway. East Europe is most likely your Polish side. Balkan tho, THAT is where Romania and Serbia are categorized in, mainly because we have a mediterranean element that lacks in East Europeans. So in that category is where they detected your Serbian and Romanian ancestry. And the Baltics you got are most likely due to your East European DNA, as many Eastern Europeans can get some Baltic DNA mixed in, especially people of Russian, Belarusian or Ukrainian descent. For Polish I think it's a bit more unlikely. And the Norwegian is 100% linked to the Baltic DNA. Because many people of Baltic descent (Lithuanians, Latvians, Estonians, even Finns who aren't Baltic but close) tend to also score some amount of Scandinavian. Due to proximity and history, like you know, europeans moved around quite a lot and mixed within the tribes. So, yeah. Overall, your balkan and eastern european are linked bc proximity and migration history, the eastern european is linked to the baltics bc of same reasons, and same for the connection of Baltics and Scandinavia (in your case Norway). It would be very interesting if you do 23andme kit done, I think it's more accurate for Eastern Europe. And gives more specific countries and regions within them. Hope I explained myself well haha.

The Africa percentages can show exactly how the slave trade went. The slaves were first coming from Senegal then Mali and the last batch of slaves came from Nigeria. Coincides with their exploration activities. They went first into the interior then had to just skiff the coastlines in a last ditch attempt to get slaves after it became illegal to import slaves.

This is not true or backed up by the science community. Please stop lying to our beautiful people. For your information, I do believe that Africans/Melanesia arrived here before Mongolian people. But we are not the direct descendants of them. We are a West African people of mixed Central African Bantu and Western European heritage. The people of south American indigenous up to the Amazon tribes are the direct descendants of the first Africans/Melanesian people mixed with Mongolian. We need to be proud of who we are and stop making up things to falsely claim heritages that is not ours. Native American, Egyptian, Jewish. Just because White society has taught us African Americans how much THEY valued these other cultures, while at the same time looking down on what made us. Make us feel shameful of our heritage. Telling our true origins in a negative tell. Makes us want to be anything other than African American. We need to get over THEM and learn to love ourselves and our bright and beautiful future we can have together as a NEW African people in this world. Please never stop believing in and loving your people. Thanks for your time.

Its always astonishing to me when black America's don't know they're ancestors came from west Africa like we don't know about slavery. Educate yourself. Stay woke
@TheEclecticHerbalist Жыл бұрын
Ima start off by first saying this comment, to me, appeared very rude so if it was not meant to be so, sorry. but the response below is to answer it in the same general energy it was given. We are well acquainted with slavery in America, it is the reason, as you put it, that black AMERICANS don't know where EXACTLY our ancestors came from considering they were ripped away and stripped of all humanity and identity. I am well educated in the history despite the fact I had to teach myself because the american school system lies and neglects truths. I am not too sure where you are from or what this comment was getting at but to me, I felt it was very condescending and ignorant. so before telling people to educate themselves maybe you should educate yourself first. I clearly state in the video that the reason I did this was because I had no clue of that ancestry or where it originated - so in actuality, I did educate myself... literally the first step..
