A South American proverb claims "Good broth will resurrect the dead." While that's clearly an exaggeration, chicken soup has enjoyed a reputation as "Jewish penicillin" and bone broths are served to convalescents all over the world. In this presentation, Dr. Daniel will review the science that supports consuming bone broth for healthy bones, joints, skin, digestion, immunity and emotional stability. She will discuss 19th and early 20th century studies on gelatin, as well as recent investigations into the "conditionally essential" amino acids proline, glycine and glutamine and "the essential sugars" N-Acetylglucosamine and N-Acetylgalactosamine. Finally, she will report on Dr. John F. Prudden's clinical trials healing osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn's, and even cancer with cartilage. In short, much science supports the ancestral wisdom of consuming bone broth.
Abstracts and information about the Ancestral Health Symposium can be found at www.ancestralhealth.org/ahs14-program.

@@al1410 I drink raw milk every single day, and bone broth almost every day as well. I get my raw milk from Sprouts grocery stores but it's not legal in all states, unfortunately. You would need to check your states laws regarding raw milk. It's kind of ridiculous that raw milk is illegal to sell in some states.... I make my own bone broth. Most grocery stores sell bones with marrow and that's what I use to make my bone broth :)

A very important presentation! Dr. Kaayla has shared information here that can literally change the world. Her upcoming book "Nourishing Broth: An Old-Fashioned Remedy for the Modern World" (due out 9-1-14) is sure to enlighten many in the astounding ways in which bone broth soup can nourish, strengthen and heal. Her humor is greatly appreciated in AHS circles and her research is above reproach. Take notes or buy the book - but especially - start weaving bone broth soup into your diet. It is life-changing. Additionally, Dr. Kaayla has sounded the alarm against eating soy products (maybe some people are not happy with her about that). 'Best to use only soy candles - not a good food.

After watching this I went on to experiment making broth and here's what I have found. - pig feet and cow feet has the most dramatic effects on my joint issues. Chicken feet turkey neck neck general birds... didn't do enough if anything at. The pig and cow feet bone broth is SUPER DUPER effective as disgusting as it sounds the effects were so dramatic. I herniated my back disk as a teen for the last almost 20 years I had been dealing with major back pain and not able to lift more than 135lb without feeling pain for days afterwards. These days I am able to lift about 345lbs on the deadlift for a clean 3 or 4 repetitions and have no back pain. My life has been saved and I am only 35 years old. Also I can hardly crack my fingers and toes anymore and my back doesn't crick anymore. If I go a long time without broth maybe about 6-9 months I feel the joints beginning to deteriorate again. 4oz a day of this thick heavy broth I make is plenty enough to satisfy my joints hunger for nutrition. In the past I had taken too much upwards of about 32oz per day and this was just way to heavy on my kidney in terms of protein assimilation so I was peeing out a good amount. I have a new love and respect for pig after this experience and it is now one of my favorite sources of nutrition. Also it wasn't ever organic. Feed lot peta violated pigs saved me... as horrible as that is... it worked and I am now free of my joints pains. The saddest part is nobody ever takes my advice because the idea of consuming pig is just taboo but since I am Puerto 🇵🇷 it isn't as taboo because pigs are a main staple for us. It is our turkey for Thanksgiving so it just gave me more of a reason to appreciate this animal for what it is capable of. This advice is for someone living in serious pain who has trued everything and nothing else to lose.. except for pain.

Well done. I actually found this site researching canning bone broth. Growing up in the Caribbean we used every part of the animal ( mouth to tail to hoof). Moving to America it's impolite to suck the cartilage off of bone or suck out the cartilage. Now you can order marrow as a delicacy and meat parts that used to be discarded are now for sale. Hmm! Go figure.

I simmer cow leg bones, pork feet, chicken feet in a large stock pot for more than 24 hours straight. When it is cool, I put the soup in big bowls in the fridge and next day skim off all the fat. I then pack the soup in containers. and freeze it .Very gelatinous and delicious.I do intermittent fasting too.

I'm polish. We make chicken broth every week on Sundays, my gran would always add 1-3 tbsp of lard to it too. she's 98 and not even wearing glasses. High fat diet, high on beef, pork and chicken meat. We also have a dish where we cook pigs legs for hours with some veg until it forms gelatine. then cut the skin off the bones, cut veg onto small chunks, mix it all and put into little ramekins and pop to fridge to harden. Once hardened we have it with apple cider vinegar. believe me it's fucking delicious so if ure not scared of cooking pigs feet do it. It's called "zimna noga" in polish if ure looking for a recipe.

Enjoyed the presentation, excellent speaker and fun too. Broths are making me feel better since I have found your book, thank you. Here's a wee story I heard on the radio one day. A winning body builder said he chugs down cups of bone broth every day. He is the oldest bb & was asked how he was able to stay in the game at such an age. His reply was that he drank bone broth like it was coffee. Heard that story about 3 years ago and after hearing about Nourishing Broth from Mary's Nest, I finally started making broth. Awesome stuff to say the least. Would be intersting to see bb's split into two groups, one vegan, the other primitive foodie, I know who I'd bet on!

When doctors say auto immune disease is the term used to say we don’t know.
@mrmeach1967

Hank Kuya, Yup. Agreed. My thoughts on autoimmunity are consonant with hers expressed at 37:24 [click the link]. I started thinking pleomorphic organisms were at work some years ago after listening to a recorded interview between John Marsh, an acquaintance of RR Rife, and a Dr. Tully, DDS, who used Rife’s 1936 beam-ray device to resolve a lupus case in the space of two weeks: rifevideos.com/audio/9_dr_tully_dds.mp3 Yes, a purely anecdotal account, not an expensive, rigorously vetted, FDA-approved study; and done by a dentist (not an MD) who was by no means an expert in rheumatology. It’s not mentioned in that recording, but Tully used the ray in accordance with Rife’s speculation that the lupus “virus” was a close cousin of a tuberculosis pleomorph detected by one of Rife’s microscopes. So Tully used similar frequencies to obtain the clinical results described in that clip. So the rub here is that Rife’s microscope adventures revealed to him without a doubt that the pathology underlying a case of lupus was viral, not the body’s mistaken attack on itself, not autoimmunity, not the prevailing understanding that informs modern medicine today.

Doctors use the Blame The Patient game all of the time to deflect attention from the doctors being the sole cause of disease via vaccines and other bioweapons so they say it is 'auto' immunity when it is merely implanted circulating immune complexes called serum sickness or stealth organisms being attacked with the host as collateral damage. So, they know full well what is going on which means they are engaged in fraud and murder.

@@vaccinefraud5570 I would agree that the heads of the pharmacological organisations know that they are creating repeating customers but many of them don't know about the third world war silently declared on humanity in the fifties. The doctors are little more than prison/concentration camp guards; just following orders, we were told it was for their protection. I would presume the people who vet and staff the FDA are the masterminds.

@@clivewells7090 Silent Weapons for Quiet Broth... I mean... Wars... Well said. It's clear that Borellia and Bartonella of Lyme EAT CONNECTIVE TISSUE, so this is all part of a military coverup for their weapon. FDA is nothing but psychological warfare operatives (We're here to protect you...). The gurus will tell you what is going on but then still use antibiotics that make it worse kzbin.info/www/bejne/o32uZWubmNihY9U There was only one expert on this and she's dead now (unfortunately promoted vaccines) kzbin.info/www/bejne/jaDdo3Z8jJWgiK8 There is no purity of information anywhere so we synthesize what we get. Cheers.
@vaccinefraud5570
@vaccinefraud5570 3 жыл бұрын
@@mrmeach1967 Very nice. When we synthesize the work of Lawrence Broxmeyer on TB and its phage and the cell-wall deficient forms with Lida Mattman's work on Lyme kzbin.info/www/bejne/jaDdo3Z8jJWgiK8 Then we see that of the 8 morphological forms of Borellia alone that some of the smaller items can be called 'viruses'. That ties into 'viral' origin and pleomorphism since Lyme can pull itself back together from its antibiotic-disrupted pieces to gain cell wall competency again. The test for Lupus is cross-reactive with the test for syphilis (another spirochete) and they treat Lupus with ANTIMALARIAL DRUGS which is too close to what sane are using for the current Beer Bug outbreak (hydroxychloroquine) so we are back to the Lyme picture and perhaps Babesia not some oriental gain of function monster. So you are 100% correct. There is no such thing as 'autoimmunity' the body is just firing wildly at stealth organisms that have evaded immune survelliance thus taking out host tissue in the process.

+Jenny Macaluso Select fresh beef thigh bones. Have your butcher cut them long ways through the middle exposing the marrow, then cross ways 2 or 3 times making them smaller for the pot. When home, wash them thoroughly removing any bone chips and other hidden stuff. Place in filtered water if possible, but not essential as the boiling process evaporates most water chemicals. I add enough water to cover the bones by about 2 inches. Add 2-3 carrots, I peel them, leave them whole, 3-4 large cloves of garlic, half a celery in about 4 inch pieces, onion if you like, ACV 2 tablespoons to release the minerals from the bones. If you have favourite herbs, put them in, there are no rules with herbs, but, i keep it rather simple. start the boiling process, bring to a boil, best to keep the lid on as the evaporation will be high with the lid off. reduce to a simmer and keep scooping off the scum, this may happen several times, if the bones become exposed add some fresh water, keep the simmer up for 12-16hrs, I do mine over two days resting in the fridge at night. once the simmering is over use a good strong chinese type sieve to remove the bones and any other vegetable matter, remove any floating particles, cool, decant and store in the fridge. The next day, the fat will be solidified, cut away a small bit and you should have a pot full of jelly. the thickness of the jelly will depend on how much water you end up with. you will need to judge your pot size to regulate this. my jelly is thick, like party jelly, but remember, party jelly is full of sugar and we all know what sugar does, watch the sugar film if you dont know. now your stock is ready to use, make soup, drink it, add it to meats slow cooked in the oven, dream up what ever. I use the fat in lots of cooking. saturated beef fat is healthy fats, I follow LCHF lifestyle with Paleo and GAPS adapted bits.

dah! I think she breathless, because she has a deep abiding passion for the topic broth, & used EVERY BREATH to it's full extent. She was running, & focused on every word. Bless DrDaniel. I learned years ago that beef bone & chicken bone broth, very well boiled, was a superb source for Hyaluronic acid, my personal research as a amateur, says it is the fountain of youth. A certain Asian society eats mostly root tubular foods from shallow rocky soil, & ingest much H.A. that results in quality eye sight, smooth skin, & healthy joints in advanced years. Edgar Cayce also advised to boil red meat & drink the broth, because it was full of B vitamins & was a good blood builder.. In the days when most people canned their produce in Mason Jars, some prudent people added boron as a preservative, Borax is very alkaline, & thus fights acidic bacterium fermentation. Also boron is essential for enamel & hormone & organ health. Cayce also recommended knox jello for every meal, because it greatly aids absorption in the gut, so does a goot table spoon of extra virgin olive oil, it coats the intestines to aid movement & nutrient absorption, it is also quite good as a pain rub, the electrical pain path back to the brain is buffered, weakend. Only extra virgin olive oil does this dampening. Static electricity by charging a 1" diameter piece of PVC pipe 3' long, stroke with sheep wool or news paper will charge the rod with static, thus causing hairs to stand & be attracted to it. A good tool to reduce pain. See a amateur non schooled person will gather much, when not faced with tests & other blinders that curtail a desire to learn.
