Appreciate it...can't wait to attempt that technique on the beaches we typically cruise where the tide definitely comes into play!! We are just kicking off our channel as we purchased an Explorer Pro to begin cruising Coastal Carolina ....I hope you will follow our adventures as well! Happy Sunday!

Thanks Billy - not that you have to worry about tides out at your lake! BTW - I'm still recovering after seeing inside your garage!!

@@JetSkiCamping It's amazing depending where you are and how long, like several days, how much the river and lake levels fluctuate. For example, if we're camping or house boating at Lake Powell, everyday the lake is rising in July and starts lowering in August. So you are constantly redoing your lines daily, especially with a house boat. You don't want that beast getting stuck on the beach. And as far as the garage goes, I love it too! It's an attached 3 car and fits all the toys just fine. BTW, you should see the pool......that's for another video for sure!

@@billythephoenix Interesting! Yeah would be difficult to drag a house boat out. Can't wait to see the pool!

Will this loop technique work if im sleeping out on the vessel but still tied to shore? Some of the beaches are rocky so i don't want the boat to get beached while im sleeping on board.
@roselasser17273 жыл бұрын
Tried your method, works good except 100ft line wasn’t long enough length from shore in our areas. Looking at your video looks like your seadoo is a lot further out then 50ft especially one with tide out.

I'm going to try this off of Catalina island. Parsons Landing which it's never been attempted before, is a beautiful camping site 😊

How did the anchoring at Parsons work out?

Hi In what state is this in australia
@jdog45344 жыл бұрын
When using a danforth/fluke (typical) anchor, you need to attach it to about 3 feet (1 meter) of galvanized or epoxy coated chain and attach the rode to the other end of the chain, otherwise you will rarely get the anchor to set. The chain keeps the anchor laying on bottom so the pivoting blades can dig into the ground. If no chain is used. You will keep unsetting the anchor every time you try to set it. Also, your anchor rode should not be a floating (buoyant) type of line. That way its harder to wrap it around your impeller/propeller.

Great video. Can’t wait to test this out, can I ask what brand sand anchor you use thsnk you
@maxflight7772 жыл бұрын
I purchased mine from Australia 🇦🇺! It’s a copper sand anchor and especially made for Jet Skis ! With a few m of stainless steel chain, it works well. Not cheap … but it is effective!

What kind of knot did you use to tie the rope to the tree?
@maxflight7772 жыл бұрын
Loop the line round the tree and use a bowline.

How long do you keep your ski in water without flushing? What’s the maximum time you recommend to go without flushing???
@JetSkiCamping3 жыл бұрын
I just flush as soon as I can.

So I'd need 2 anchor systems. one for shore and one for when i go out fishing? if so, how to attach the secondary anchor once i'm out in the sea?
@NoNopeAndNo4 жыл бұрын
Great system👍. Have you ever had an angry person go off about the ropes running along the beach? When you push the ski out in this video the water is calm with no swell or waves. Have you encountered issues with this system with some small to medium swell / waves? Thanks for the video👍

G’Day - yes, will anchor normally if the beach is busy for this reason.

@@JetSkiCamping another part of cb question. Does this hold ok if the wind suddenly changes and increases a bit? Enjoying your videos mate
@JetSkiCamping3 жыл бұрын
G’Day Peter, I haven’t had any problems and the loop is attached to a tree which makes it more secure than traditional anchoring. Filling your sand bag anchor with something really heavy is important though so you can pull the ski in and out without dragging the anchor. The only option that is more secure is to beach the ski but then you’re stranded for hours.

How do we stop the ski from driftingg back to shore if the anchor is on a looprope in deep water?
@JetSkiCamping4 жыл бұрын
The jet ski is pulled out to the anchor and then the loop rope is tied to the tree. This stops the loop rope rotating so the ski cannot drift back in.

@@JetSkiCamping I’m about to ! I’m so thrilled and excited by all your content. I do quite a lot of hiking (Scotland) and also motorcycle camping. I live 10km from the Ria Formosa (Algarve Portugal) and am planning a camp. (We have a 2019 Wake Pro 230) The Ria Formosa should be good for a camp somewhere, but it’s also a “nature reserve” so I don’t want to irritate the authorities! I’ll film it when we go. 👍

That block would hold much better without the bag. The snap hooks should be locking or doubled if overnight- redundancy is key. I do similar with a 42’ sailboat and a 17” runabout often in 20’ tides. This is the vey basics. Anchor first, back in to shore, unload, pull out with the system. Good vid though

I think I get it. But it is a little confusing because you keep changing from a white loop rope to a red one, even during the same explanation. Or maybe you don't..? I dunno!
