Brilliant, love these vids, perfectly explained, thank you. I often wondered, if the anchor was dug in to hold the boat fast, how you went about releasing it to retrieve the anchor. I suspected that you would draw forward, but not seen it done, thanks for showing. I've used boats on rivers, where I've only ever moored up to pontoons or the riverbank, so never used an anchor, so thanks again, Cheers Rich

Does the direction of the wind matter when deciding which direction in which to reverse? In other words, should one reverse down wind?

Downwind or with the current, whichever is greater
