Good job. You say people that cross oceans with those crazy waves.. give it time the more you sail the more you fall in love with it. If you really enjoy it some day you tonwill cross an ocean. I hope I'm around to see it.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😮

Good job. As an old sailer, our rule of thumb was to try and be at your destination by 3pm. That way, you always have a time buffer. Your video brought back wonderful memories. You're making yours. Enjoy!! And thanks!

You're doing great. I learned to sail on a J22 at the College of Charleston, SC. I got certified to sail a catamaran up to 50' and 18 tons. I love sailing. You will learn a great deal by trial and error, I enjoy your videos.

@ TigerGaRob Since you're experienced, what was the risk level of the highest waves in which they were sailing? Looked rather crazy to this non-sailor, but is the sailboat considerably more capable?

Hi from New Zealand. So nice to see you into sailing now. Hope you lads are enjoying the thrill of the (fresh) briny. I'm sure that your sail back will be enjoyable also. I look forward to your posts. I've only been on a sail boat once in my life, many years ago; and that was a trailer-sailer: so not all that big; and it was on Auckland harbour--somewhere around mid 1980's, and about roughly 5 knots, from memory; so you fellows are really into the good stuff.

Gosh Adventure Guys, that was fun. I'm very glad Dan accompanied you on your maiden long overnight cruise. Dan bore that special expression which indicates 'Mal de mer', which I had so many years ago too. I empathize with you. Hopefully you have a wee book into which you may write down the gripes you have to attend to. Until I did, I never got everything done until an emergency occurred! :). Thanks for inviting me. I look forward to seeing you soon and hope Dan has an easy time of it getting more good logs for his new forge shop. Be safe.

Wow! You are very brave. Looks like a lot of fun! Consider getting a lanyard for your phone so that you don’t drop it overboard by accident. I don’t know anything about sailing, but it looks like your motor is still trailing in the water even though you’re using a sail. Should the prop be brought out of the water when you’re not using the motor?
