PSA isn’t the only company that graded cards. Also Becketts are more picky when grading cards so sometimes a PSA 9 may not be as good as a Beckett’s 9 grading

I am a very big fan of mew and the second pokemon movie is actually my favorite. So you can tell how much I love my ancient mew card. It´s not in the best condition and is the one released in america but I still love it. And I am so grateful that I found this video about you explaning the differences. I think old and mysterious looking cards are the best. They just give me tsome kind of feeling I really love!

Good quality information. I'm currently debating which I should add to my collection: The "Nintedo" error card, or the 2019 re-release. I think I'm leaning towards the 2019 version. do you have a favorite 'speckled' version?

So I've been trying to find info on the speckled fixed version for YEARS because, as a kid, I bought one from a card shop before the Mewtwo movie came out and I was upset that they gave out Ancient Mews to everyone until I realized the holographic film on mine was different. I've held onto it because I thought, and hoped, that maybe someday someone would mention the difference between the two and that mine might be worth more. But yeah, I still own that fixed speckled version and you're the first person, in over 20 years, to finally have the info I've been looking for. I hope it'll be worth a great deal soon.

Yes there was an ancient mew card that was out before the movie promo!! I remember me and my brothers knowing it as the real ancient mew which was what we called it because the movie promo card came out and then everyone had one. My brother got his that was in a magazine positioned just like the one in this video but obviously wasn't from 2019 cause this was over 15 years ago. But I have not been able to find any information on the real ancient mew card either. It looks different I remember that but what are the differences between yours and the ones in this video ? Cause I haven't had the chance to see if my brother still has the magazine but thought I was going crazy till I saw your comment. Feel like some Mandela effect stuff

When I was young well over 15 years ago my brother was digging in a sale bin inside Walgreens and there was a magazine that had ancient mew inside it just like the one that is in this video (same tilted positioning) but it obviously was not the 2019 one. It was what we new as the real ancient mew card that we knew to be out there that was NOT a promo for the movie. I was trying to look it up on Google and found this video. Seems like I can't find any evidence of that ever existing. I'm going to see if he still has it because I swear it's some alternate timeline thing. Just like Bernstein bears. If he still has it I'll make it known. If anyone remembers an ancient mew card that was NOT a movie promo please let me know.

I wanted to ask, I see some eBay sellers are listing “swirl” on the description and some don’t. Is this another version of the card? Does one have higher value than the other?

It’s a subset of collectors that look for swirls. A nice swirl or multiple swirls on a card will add value only for those looking for that. I personally don’t care most of the time and think it’s tacky when people add value because a swirl. In short it adds value for those who collect it but most people will look the other way when you try and sell a card above market because of a swirl.

It is not true! The language is a mix, go inform yourself about Futhark or Futhork! Ancient nordic language. The Horus eye on the pyramid is placed four three other times on the card. Alchemistic Symbols for the pyramid may also be a possibility. I recommend, A book about Alchemy, four elements and the meaning of the pyramid. Some more experience in language, nordic rune alphabet. Question? The speaking cat in the series, sidekick of team rocket, as far as I remember, and mew (or the sound of a cat)

Go to eBay search ancient mew corrected version filter sold. Make sure it’s the Japanese corrected version specifically, the English release one is the normal one and all are correct

I was a kid when I went watch the movie. I have 2 ancient Mew mint (seem perfect, I put them on a sealed photo album when I was a kid), it's the version on the right (we had that one in Portugal). Good to know they still are so cool nowadays, going to grade them, and keep as a collection and souvenir
