We are in the Capital City Of Visayas Philippines to explore Cebu city and see what this city has to offer. From incredible filipino history, filipino food to filipino culture, Cebu can offer something for everyone, including incredibly luxurious hang out places for the filipino people.
We start off with renting a bike for our Cebu Road trip, from ZG Rentals - also recommended by our friend Ken Abroad, and we start roaming around the Cebu City. We get lost on the way but somehow manage to find one very touristic spot, The Taoist Temple where many Chinese Filipino people come for divination practices. The rite is complex and it has to follow a few very detailed steps in order to have your yes or no answer from the God.
Further on, we go up the hills around Cebu and we are left in shock, discovering a piece of Greece in the Cebu Mountains! The evening end under a full moon candle (phone) dinner with some of the best filipino food.

There's La Vie Sky Restaurant near Temple of Leah, it's like a French Restaurant and it's also an over looking restaurant. And there's also Top of Cebu Restaurant near Tops Lookout, Gaslamp District in Busay, Sachiko's Little Kyoto in Babag Cebu, Sirao Flower Garden (Little Amsterdam) in Busay, and then Dome de Valentine in Balamban, it's very nice place also and peaceful. And if you want more street foods in Cebu City, there's IL Corso fronting the beach and Sugbo Mercado in IT Park & Cebu Business Park. Try to visit also SM Seaside City Mall in Cebu (the biggest mall in Cebu), and also Cebu Ocean Park.

Gigi is obviously a well-read tourist. It's very rare for tourists, local and foreigners alike, to have thorough knowledge about classical ancient history. Yes, she is right, Temple of Leah, exhibits a fine example of a classical Greek architecture. Most tourists and vloggers always mistaken its architectural style as that of Roman or even French. Most of them remarked that the temple looks like they're in Rome or Paris.

That small flat coral island east of Mactan is called Olango Island and it's a favorite destinations for local tourists as it has the magnificent Olango Bird Sanctuary and the San Vicente Marine Sanctuary. There are two main ports on Mactan Island serving Olango: Hilton Port (next to Movenpick Resort Mactan) for roro (roll-on/roll-off ferries) and Angasil Port (next to Mactan Newtown) for fast ferries. Travel time for fast ferries only take 10-15 minutes between Olango and Mactan. Fast ferry trips are as frequent as every 30 minutes. Roro trips are every 1.5 hours. Olango Island is also a favorite destination for Island Hopping tours from Mactan. There are also a few camping grounds all over the island where you can either set up your own tent or rent a tent. Though there are a few hotels and resort as well. The most popular activities in Olango Island for day tourists are biking, camping, swimming, island hopping and bird watching.

Hi guys! First time to comment, but had to be done because you can't miss the Migratory birds in Olango Island Wild life Sanctuary happening between November to January only. 97 species, 48 of which are residents but the rest are snow birds! Take your motorbike and cross the brand new bridge that you might have seen in the distance which is Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX), this ends at the township of Cordova. Then find Hilton Hotel, there's a RORO Port (Hilton Port) Roll On/Roll Out therefore you can take your motorbike into Olango island. In Mactan there is Mactan Shrine and Magellan Marker. explore the south or north of Cebu guys...if youre interested in swimming with whalesharks then go south plus some wonderful waterfalls...if you want to explore beautiful beaches then go north in Sta. Fe or Bantayan island

There is also a large beautiful Buddhist Temple in Cebu City closer to Fuente Osmena Circle which has just been open to the public recently. It is called Fo Guang Shan Chu Un Temple and it is also free. But just like most Chinese temples all over the world, donation is accepted.

Do visit SM Seaside Mall, Cebu Ocean Park, and NuStar resort and casino in South Road Properties (SRP). These places offer a modern experience of Cebu City's ever-changing landscape. The SRP is a more organized and less chaotic part of town, since it's built from scratch on reclaimed land. Lantaw (SRP branch) is an open-air restaurant with one of the best seaside views of Cebu's skyline. CCLEX (locally known as the 3rd bridge) is the longest bridge in the Philippines. It has 8 well-lighted crosses at night, which symbolizes the fusion of tradition and modernity in Cebu.

Cebu city has a lots of chinese temples. Taoist temple is one of them which is open to public. The rest are not. The chinese religion is called budhism and on the temple u can find the famous philosopher named LAO TZE

@JuneMar Buclol....Cebu is a paradise as well. No need to go far to see paradise. Cebu island has hundreds and hundreds of turquoise blue waterfalls and springs, lots of cavernous caves with underground cool spring, dozens of accessible tall mountain peaks, more diving sites all over with marine creatures such as sea turtle, whale sharks, thresher sharks, sardines, dolphins are easy to find, roads crisscross all over the island. Siargao Island has no good roads and roads are very limited on the national highway. It's not good for exploring.
