I would suggest not leaving it overnight and start with just 15 minutes of soaking time. Also try to add few drops of eucalyptus oil to it as it will prevent from catching cold...

If we grind the leaves along with the rice starch it is so hard to leave it on overnight as it gets very slimy. Hand pounded rice is unpolished rice, you can use any type of rice that you have at home..
