Bit simplistic, but still interesting. Didn´t know the part about the flutes for example.

To be a brief overview, it had to be "simplistic", or basic, as opposed to using Integral Calculus to depict the subtle complexities.

Another great video! Looking forward to future videos. I know you have already done a video on peltast of antiquity, but would you cover the Byzantine peltast. That would be awesome!

Fun fact German literally means spearman

Thats a theory
@limgreen9766Ай бұрын
@@maxschreck4095 you can tell already from the phonetic Ger means Spear, Ger- Speer-Spear and geirr in old norse what is related to old germanic. Old Teutonic names Gerbert (Old High German Gêr-braht, literally ‘glittering with spears’), Gerhard (Old High German Gérhart, ‘spear-bold’).
@maxschreck4095Ай бұрын
@limgreen9766 I checked the spear hypothesis was debunked, it means neighbors or screaming ones probably
@limgreen9766Ай бұрын
@@maxschreck4095 I think i know what you talking about but the the debunk was debunk. The person who wrote the debunk hate germans.

bruh, the Nordic Bronce Age and the following Jastorf Culture was present far beyond Denmark, just like the 1st millenium BC map at 1:39 suggests original Germans came from Northern Germany and (to a degree) also from Denmark.....and modern day Poland....parts of Sweden as well....

Caesar faced Germans before ever crossing the Rhine. In the prelude to annexing Gaul, a German king named Ariovistas invaded Gaul and Caesar intervened and established rome as *the* regional arbitrator before conquering it Edit: he did that before killing and enslaving a couple million Gauls

Good job i can't wait to see the day you put your great skills to more unknown lands like Asia and the Indian Ocean wich has good documented history but not well knowen Or an even bigger challenge Americans, Africa and the Pacific who lost most knowledge of there history but the Pacific history fortunately been left mostly intact
