You are the first to give a synopsis of what happened once the floodwaters reached the Pacific. I'm interested in exploring the longreaching effects on ocean climate worldwide. Let's talk more about that. Did this start a chain reaction of flooding that brought sea levels up 400 feet in such a hurry that it was literally Bibilical in nature? Curiosity abounds. The overarching paradigm shifts points to a mass of anthropological discoveries awaiting at -400 feet sea level.

@@brianjacob8728 I haven't read the bible but im guessing the bible version is from the same source as all the other flood stories from around the world. Maybe the survivors didn't realize or know the cause (possibly asteroid or meteor(s)) especially within a few generations as the original survivors has passed away.... and then it got passed by storytelling for thousands of years and jumbled into religious stuff later on (when in doubt, say it was "gods will" back in the day). Anyone besides me alittle surprised Randal Carlson was nowhere to be found in this video? I wonder if there is a spot in hell for click baiters who name drop in lieu of content worth watching? Pardon me if I don't jump to subscribe..

You realize there is multiple clips of randall talking? Did you even watch it? Lol

Hey buddy, watch the damn video next time, before replying and making an ass of yourself by jumping to false conclusions. People like you need to stop commenting on the internet, as you add absolutely nothing beneficial to good content like this with your stupidity. To redeem yourself, you should watch this video in full, hit the like button, subscribe to their channel and leave a positive comment. Good day sir.

@@AncientPresence You are right.. I jumped the gun too soon, and you have my apologies for it! I saw a short clip on Rogan with Mr. Carlson discussing this exact thing and really wanted to see more of the conversation. Good on both of you for calling me out because I was being pecker headed about your video and didn't have my facts straight. Now, tell me you don't understand how we got to this point? 2/3's of the videos out there promise you the world if you will simply click on their pathetic little offering.. When youtube first started, they used to have a dislike score and you could get a general feel for something that caught your interest.. but people complained because that meant they had to actually HAVE something people might want to watch.. I'll admit, I thought this was one of those and apologize for my comments and the short sightedness of my decision to post a comment! Thank You for pointing out what I was missing.. re-visiting this and watching it in its entirety was well worth the time as well as getting called out on my silly little response!! Merry Christmas!

@@Milo_Sun_ Guys.. I don't know how many might see this, but if Ancient Presence can't, would one of you please pass it along? I live alone and I hate total silence when I'm doing things, so I usually play LONG youtube videos about a variety of things.. that's where I first heard Randal Carlsons name.. I found one of Joe Rogans videos where they do that "just getting together for a chat" thing , but what's really cool is Randal is free to speak his mind, and what a glorious mind he has! It's Joe Rogan Experience (JRE)# 606 and I'm turning you guys on to this by way of penance for my short sighted remarks! Tell me if you enjoyed it! I don't get shit the first time around and have watched it about 3 times now.. Geezus, why is there not a Senator Carlson in our lives? Enjoy!

Please give us the courtesy of expending the near minimal effort required to learn how to pronounce the words that you are using to identify such features as moraine and coulee. Investigate effective communication! If you are a student somewhere, rest assured that among the people that grade you and are responsible for your advancement are those who are keenly aware of this inadequacy of thought on your part. If you are speaking and I have to consult the hundreds of online dictionaries to confirm your pronunciation is not as all the others, then you risk me not getting what you are trying to tell me. I offer this for your edification. And further advise you to ignore my suggestion at your own career peril.

Wow that was a long winded comment there bud, that must’ve felt really good for your ego 😉 A friendly manner to help others learn is to recommend them the appropriate way to say a word and guide them to a good source of information to learn the correct pronunciation, rather than belittle them with snobby arrogance. We’ve heard these words pronounced hundreds of times in the way that we are saying them, so we were unaware that we were saying them incorrectly. Also, pages like Merriam-Webster give the same pronunciation as ours in their audio button, so as far as we knew, we were saying it correctly. www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/coulee Will you please provide a correct pronunciation for us? Thanks.

@@AncientPresence it is simply KOO lee, emphasis first syllable. May you just have a bad ear? the Meriiam Webster sound file says it correctly making you still wrong, whether I am arrogant or not...

Tomato TamAto pal 🤙 I think you're gettin way too worked up over this. People have slightly different intonations in the ways they pronounce words all over the world. English is different in Australia than it is in England, and different in London than in Liverpool, and different in Minnesota than in Georgia. Who made you the word police? Coulée is a French word anyways, I'm sure they pronounce it differently than how you learned to say it. In the verb form of the word, the accent is actually on the second half of the word, coulér. Where did you learn to say it and have you heard it spoken in many different settings, from different people around the world? Maybe your rigid perspective is but one of many different perspectives 😉

@@ibusiness Pro tip: If you're going to correct someone's pronunciation, try to follow standard grammatical rules. It makes it easier to read that way. Otherwise, you run the risk of not being understood.

This was my first time visiting your YT channel. I am very impressed. I have seen R. Carlson talk about the scablands. A very knowledgeable man who hands down knows his stuff but, there is something different about the way your channel lays out and presents the information. I truly enjoyed the way you lead the viewer through this video. It was engaging and evenly paced. It was a stunningly visual video that could have gone on for hours and I would have kept watching. if this is consistent then I have just found my new addiction. Great Job!
