Living in my area of California I try to never assume even other Californians have it as good as we do in our area which is in the Sierra mountains. When I read/hear how high prices are in other areas, or weather issues, I actually will pray for the person(s) that the Lord will provide what they need. And as corny as it sounds, I often wonder (as a Christian) how many Christians who are critical are praying for all our leaders. Even amongst friends I have to sit and have a soft conversation and remind them of ALL the Bible verses that caution us to NOT fear. But instead, turn to the Lord and pray, pray, pray. For peace and the wisdom to do what he calls each of us to do. 1 Timothy 2:1-4 First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for ALL people, for kings and ALL who are in HIGH POSITIONS, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way, ♥

I have been making my own powder laundry soap for about a year now. The liquid soap I was buying doubled in price (about $20 for the jug). And for the price of it I could buy all the stuff for making the powder soap and it would last a lot longer. I also have a Brita water filter and put filtered water in the empty vinegar jugs and the empty apple juice containers. My son uses some of that filtered water for his dog's watering bowl. I have a bunch of the old laundry bottles that I keep water in for emergency washing water, toilets, etc.
