Charlotte was giving advice which is what a loving and considerate friend does, then Carrie says something like, "It's not that big of a deal. Let's move on." It's not that it's not that big of a deal. It's the fact that it has nothing to do with Carrie not affects her so she doesn't care. Another example is after Big died. This was at least a year after his death. Anytime her friends had a critique or an issue she would say, "Well, at least your husband didn't die". Death isn't the only problem people have. Money issues, marriage issues, children's issues, family issues, sickness, career, etc are all valid reasons to be sad and need friendship advice.

Has anyone noticed the amount of unexplained mistakes and inaccuracies within this series compared to the original and the movies? - So you're telling me that Carrie had her whole apartment renovated in 2008, where she clearly got rid a lot of the old furniture, for her to decide she wants go back to the more original version of her apartment in the series, 12 years later with some of the same artwork, furniture and notably for me the unpainted old chair with the black phone ontop of it by her bed, at 55 years old? And she wanted to bring back the shelves above her bed? Where did this stuff go into storage during that time? I know it hasn't been used as a home all these years supposedly but come on I'm not buying it. - The kids ages are all wrong. Brady was born in 2002 on the last episode of season 4, which would make him 19 years, possibly 20, and not 17 as they are painting him to be. Lily was being sent from China in the last episode of the entire series in 2004, which would make her 17, nearly 18, and not 15/16 (can't quite remember and I'm not rewatching to find out LOL) like they[re suggesting her to be. Rock (born Rose) was born in the first movie, released 2008, making her 13, 14 later this year, not 12 like they are saying. And they have made it clear that this series took place after the pandemic/during SO... it's present day. I do not understand WHY they aren't being accurate here. It's was either a conscious decision or a loose detail they forgot about, which REALLY irritates me seeing as the writing for the original series was always so detailed and thought out. WHAT HAPPENED? - In the last episode (ep 5) when Carrie is texting Samantha, you see the text exchange that happened after the funeral where she thanked Samantha for sending flowers. This is time stamped as 'Thursday' with earlier text exchanged being dated in April etc. The fact it says 'Thursday' was clearly a missed error as anyone knows that texting apps will show you the day a text was sent if it has been sent within 7 days of the current day. Once a week has gone by, the text will be timestamped with a date instead. Carrie has already said at the beginning of the episode that this was 2 months later, so why does the text we already saw in the second episode say it was sent 'Thursday' rather than a date that was 2 months before the current date. ROOKY error. Regardless of the writing, it just feels sloppy and rushed as so many details are not fitting together. It's sad, this could really have been great!

As crazy as it sounds, fans always believed in these characters. We wanted to be them and as MPK has said so himself, it's like we genuinely envision Carrie Bradshaw walking around NYC to this day. Miranda was a very empowered lawyer, (i work at a university business legal department) so i happen to know that she would be extremely well versed in law, legislature, public policy. In one firm, I was the only black lawyer out of 200. I didn't last. The only difference is that unlike Miranda, they didn't apologize for the awkward shit they said and did. Only 5% lawyers in the U.S. are black. You are not a lawyer and a university is not a law firm. When I saw her scene I laughed because I could relate. It's so interesting when the show finally did a couple of things that minorities could relate to everyone gets mad and calls it "woke." That says a lot about you and it's pretty sad. You know nothing about the shit professional blacks go through and it's obvious you don't want to know. She was an ambitious lawyer and Steve had nothing going for him, not even a lot of emotional maturity. I could actually see them getting together in their 50s when Miranda has calmed down but that relationship in her 30s was point blank ridiculous. The creators needed to prove they weren’t directing money porn because of Carrie’s obsession with Big (99% wealth 1% eyebrows) and Charlotte’s with wealth so they gave Miranda a 13 year old stuck in 31 year old’s body. About time Steve and Miranda broke up.

@@heatherhoward8064 exactly!!! And how she took care of Steve’s ailing mother. These are things you do when you love someone. It feels like a slap in the face that they dragged us through all that emotion just to be like “nevermind” now.
@heidileung80032 жыл бұрын
She didn’t say “never” though, she said forever…and mentioned that it feels like that. I actually think it’s a pretty realistic line because most people are so focused on how bad they feel about something, they can remember the good times.

@@heidileung8003 I do hope that's where they're going with this. That there will be a moment where she talks to Steve and shows him that respect, tells him "I did love you, but I've changed and I need to be true to myself." I'm worried, though, because Michael Patrick King said in an interview that "Miranda only married Steve because she got pregnant," which is flat-out not true. Hello, MPK, Miranda told Steve she loved him at Brady's birthday party and then *she* later proposed to him.

I dont understand why Miranda changed so much, she was such a powerful woman with an amazing temper and now she looks so lost and weak... It's a shame because she was incredible in Sex and the City.

I wish Miranda snapped back by telling Carrie she didn't judge her when Carrie told her she was cheating on Aiden with Big.

From a die har fan from day 1 never ever got gay anything vibes from Miranda! She absolutely loved men. She loved sex and she was hit in by a woman and said I wish I was gay but I’m not, so this is bullshit. She loves Steve. She got back with him, followed him to Brooklyn looked after his mother , she was all about Steve. Proposed to him etc this is just not right,

She could have been an alcoholic and try talking to Steve about their sexless life, and maybe we could see them talk about it and witness Steve not hearing her or caring or something. Now I have no sympathy for Miranda - life is rough, tough shit, it didn’t matter when Steve wasn’t getting any and cheated, she crucified him. I know time passed but this is part of SATC, they should really reference the past more than Sam’s silly diaphragm story.

I think people forget about the fact that we are all human beings. That many of the things that we do are dictated by our heart or hormones. We are weak and we make mistakes. And the question is, are we going to be this society that only judges for making yourself feeling better, or you are ready enough to see the mistakes or flaws of other people, that are in a way the reflection of you are. Society needs to dig deeper than the ultimate judgement and attempt to make everyone fit in the same political views, religion and etc. We are all unique. Our mistakes lead to something worse or better. It is time to accept the nature of being a human being. With all its hurt and weaknesses, because there is no one that is perfect. And the existence of a human being is way more than all this critique of whether Miranda (or any other real person) should have or not done whatever. This life is complex and for that reason it is ugly and beautiful at the same time. And all we can do is to learn to see the pain and struggles of other people and be the person who can help them to become someone better. Make them feel better and happier. If that is possible, of course, as some people simply enjoy making all the wrong decisions and being miserable.

Did you forget how Miranda crucified Steve when he cheated on her after they didn’t have sex for months? Now we are supposed to believe they haven’t had sex in years, and not only that, but Miranda hasn’t told her girlfriends about that for years? It’s not believable for their lives. I’m sure it happens but it is not true to their characters personalities. Unless they are destroying Miranda’s character completely then these decisions make sense.

So is miranda having a nervous breakdown? This feels like a nervous breakdown
@paulbrown59342 жыл бұрын
Basically, yes. She's drinking to get through her days because she doesn't like her life, and having sex with Carrie's boss is the most exciting thing that's happened to her in years. Sucks to be Steve, though.

Carrie, take a seat. So, uou and your cheating was OK? This is why we need Samantha. She would never judge.
@brookeww29192 жыл бұрын
I understand she's unhappy and feels like she's trapped; but why is it okay for her to cheat on Steve but for him "It's the breaking of the trust"? Personally I feel like they're writing Miranda really really out of character. The drinking problem might have something to do with that, but the way she overreacted in the class room? Her character has become awkward and her actions are cringe.

Horrified. What happened to these women? This is a show about racist "Karen's" out of touch, zero self awareness deluded, poor judgement, bad clothes... No wonder Kim Cattrall passed.

I agree that the show is a mess but y’all, those of you who are saying “Miranda kissed a woman once (in Season 1) and didn’t like it and therefore Miranda can’t be bi or pansexual” is just LUDICROUS. Syd, the woman she kissed, is nothing like Che. Sexuality and attraction is fluid - it can definitely change over time. A huge number of women come out in their 40s and 50s. I wholeheartedly agree that they could have done this storyline differently (the cheating is very gross and hypocritical on Miranda’s part), that a lot of the “woke” aspects of the show feel forced, and that this show was doomed from the start without Kim. But please remember that though we all have our preferences, a person of a gender you had never been attracted to previously could come along and change how you feel. To say it’s impossible is homophobic, period.

I get it that Miranda shouldn't be having sex and smoking pot in Carrie's apartment. But that is no way talk to your best friend, especially when she is there burning her free time to take care of you. Pay a nurse!

Refuse to see it and I’m glad. Couldn’t even finish it. Miranda, has always been so head strong and confident. My girl ain’t and will never be a mess like this. This never happened✌🏼
