In this clip: Kristin Davis, Sarah Jessica Parker and Cynthia Nixon.
About this clip: Carrie exhorts Miranda to not leave after Big, Stanford and Samantha make a quick escape from their lives. Charlotte expresses surprise over Miranda's burgeoning sexual chemistry with Che and questions her sexuality, underscoring the need for people to not change that suggests that she still has mixed feelings about Rose's transition. Overall, the scene touches upon the theme of transition and human response to ever-fleeting relationships.

What Miranda had was an affair, in basic terms. She was attracted to another person other than her significant other and acted upon it. Steve was unhappy, too, and the tryst "meant nothing" and he was sorry. Miranda doesn't seem sorry; she too is unhappy, but she wants it her way, just as before when she moved out. She's shallow and pathetic. And, that train wreck of an outfit does nothing for her; it is a public display of a confused individual.

I agree! Sam would've brought balance and resolution to everyone sitting at the table. Including me. I get it that people change as we all grow older...I just have an issue with the past 20+years seeming as if they were unhappy. You watch Miranda proposing to Steve. Meeting on the bridge. His Mother. The moment she realized how much she loved him, after he pulled out the no. 1 candle. The birth of Brady. Never been happy?! Yes, Charlotte's right. What have you been doing with your life, if even these moments you've spent with someone for a lifetime seem unhappy? What does make you happy? If Miranda doesn't know, I would be there for her, but even question my friendship with Miranda. Miranda came with a set of principles & values. Those don't change. In context: if you cheat that's it, BUT she realized she was not perfect herself. She forgave Steve and herself. She invested a lot & saw it could be worked through. Just cause Steve cheated, doesn't give Miranda an excuse to cheat on their marriage. Things happen, but you can't trust the character of a person who doesn't find anything wrong with cheating. She & Steve were grounded when they married. They had made a solid foundation. Miranda is a lawyer and can argue this until the cows come home. Her defense is still weak. She has become weak. It's just sad.

Hate to say this, but I’m gonna say it anyways. Miranda was, a thousand percent, being a total hypocrite. Look, I get that she was unhappy.. but she could’ve and should’ve spoken about it instead of starting an affair with Carrie’s boss. Miranda said that Steve’s slip up in the Sex and The City movie was “a violation of trust”.. and yet she violates Steve’s trust by having an affair. Please! Can someone just.. make it make sense? She literally made Steve out to be the bad guy 3/4 of the Sex and The City movie.. but was trying to justify cheating on Steve because she was “unhappy” and that it was “the most alive she felt in years”. And another thing, she had the nerve to say she “didn’t want to focus group it” when she was the one who brought it up in the first place! This spinoff series literally RUINED Miranda Hobbes as a character. The writers romanticized her cheating on Steve by saying she was “finding her true self”- which was total bullshit! Miranda’s actions in this reboot don’t align with the kind of person we got to know in the original series. I respect the fact that this spinoff was trying to be more progressive because there were things in the original series that didn’t age well- but it fell flat for me. *I know that this is a lot, but I HAD to get it off my chest*

There's something about this dialogue (and others in AJLT, in fact) that seems rather off: when together, it feels as if Carrie, Charlotte and Miranda were talking AT each other and not TO each other. My gods these 3 have completely lost the spark they used to have between them! Everything about this scene is so .."off". Carrie looks bored, tired and uninterested and just says her lines like a robot, without even trying to make us feel something (not to mention that un-funny "Cheese?" joke, it was so clumsy and the timing was bad). Charlotte..her face is so frozen it's amazing she can move her lips at all. I actually rubbed my own face while watching her speak because the way her mouth moves made me feel uncomfortable! Miranda: That IS a wig, right? Her forehead hairline looks weird! Her clothes make her look like a ragdoll and her over-acting is annoying. All-and-all Miranda's sudden desire to become a lesbian and the discussion the ladies are having about it all is cringeworthy.

03:16 "them" as a pronoun for ONE person who is a woman. This has always been an issue for me. Non-binary... Che is a woman so what's the big deal with the correct pronoun "she"? Ok, Che feels non-binary but I have a few questions: how does "them" use the badroom? In a restaurant, does "them" use the lady's room or men's room? Where does "them" get "their" clothes from, men's department or woman's department? What does "them" do with the period every month? God, I can go on all day. Che is A WOMAN, SHE IS A WOMAN

I think this line was actually quite terrible... Saying that in front of an alcoholic is extremely insensitive. Plus, why do tv shows keep normalizing drinking as a coping mechanism (even if it's a joke)? I'm not a puritan, I know a lot of people do use drinking as a coping mechanism, but isn't it too much?
