Loved how, once she put her old Carrie necklace on, she started to slowly become her old self again. And she was even strong enough to open the box with Big's jackets in it...then put on one of his black jackets to go along with her red dress...nice way for her to still keep him close to her

This scene is one of the most beautiful examples as to why this show remains absolutely exquisite. My father died over the summer of 2021 while I was away in a different country, I’ve always been a huge clothes lover and he kept very marvellous pieces on his closet throughout the years and when was alive we spoke sometimes about how me being his only male child would get to keep everything. So the first night I went out after coming back home from Canada, I wore the last shirt he bought and a gorgeous leather vest from the 80s-90s and my friends gave me the most kind compliments about my outfit (they weren’t aware my father died as I never publicly expressed the news since it was too tough), I just said to them “I picked everything from my dad’s closet”. I miss him dearly and wearing his clothes makes me feel like he’s by my side. Needless to say, this scene made my cry as it reminded me of that very first night out last December. A few days ago I wore something that was his and played this song as I was walking out of my new house, it was bittersweet but very beautiful. I will forever keep you in my heart dad 🤍

So.. we're all supposed to think of Miranda as a likeable character as she blatantly cheats on Steve each week? At least when Carrie cheated on Aiden she felt bad - Miranda seems cocky and unkind.
@jrwheeler812 жыл бұрын
Miranda is clearly in the midst of a midlife crisis on steroids. It has made her so incredibly delusional and she is living in la-la land. All of her common sense has gone right out the window. She's acting like a 19 or 20-year-old sorority girl and it's a total cringe fest.
@mabelw72 жыл бұрын
Cheating so out of miranda character. Wish her and steve ended as friends
@Crazygurl12112 жыл бұрын
Especially since when Steve cheated on her, she was SO pissed at him and almost ended their marriage over it. Then she just cheats multiple times and is so cavalier about it. When Steve cheated, he felt so bad he could barely even look at her, whereas Miranda didn't even care when she cheated.
@Crazygurl12112 жыл бұрын
They've really succeeded at making Steve look like the loyal, forever loving husband and Miranda look like a callous, flaky bitch who doesn't deserve his love. From the beginning of the affair, she was all about the obsession with Che and didn't show an ounce of remorse for cheating on Steve. And other characters on this show have cheated and shown remorse. Everyone talked shit about Carrie for cheating on Aidan with Big, but you could tell she felt terrible about it the whole time. Samantha broke down crying after the one time she cheated on Smith (even though it wasn't REALLY cheating as she had just callously broken up with him and told him she was about to go bang her ex), and Steve couldn't even look at Miranda after cheating on her. That's why, with the others, you could at least feel some empathy for them - they actually showed remorse. Miranda was just running around New York acting like a flighty teenager, banging someone new, and not giving a shit that what she was doing would devastate her husband of 20 years. Sad that even Che, who didn't even know Steve, seemed to have more respect for Miranda's relationship than Miranda did. They've made Miranda extremely unlikable with the new series. Just a complete hedonist with no conscience, morals, remorse, any sympathetic human qualities at all.

This episode was so poignant. Bittersweet memories of a wonderful 15 years for Carrie. She's a Widow that has to go on without the love of her life. Through all the grief there is a bright sun shiny day out there. Moments of sadness, tears, anger, grief and than comes acceptance of that she has to go on living. There is no time limit on grief.

Miranda sucks. Yeah, Steve cheated in the first movie, but a big difference. While he was wrecked with guilt to the point he just confessed to her and begged her to forgive him for months, which she never considered doing until she got in hot water with Carrie, here Miranda cheats and doesn't give a crap about Steve, their marriage or their son. A hypocrite if there ever was one.

Loving Carrie in these past few episodes 😍 such a drastic change, but one she's desperately needing after just trying to push Big out of her mind and life. She has to find out who she is again. It's a whole new road of self-discovery. Carrie's character needed this type of growth 👏
@jrwheeler812 жыл бұрын
Agreed. Carrie totally changed when she married Big. She hasn't had her own identity in many years. For the longest time, her identity was "Big's wife" and the old Carrie slowly faded away. I was not a fan of Carrie in the two SATC movies, but now she finally seems to be coming back. I love that she is starting to find herself again.

I totally think Charlottes guilt is valid and how horrified she was to hear the news.. Everything has to be so perfect with Charlotte, if one thing doesn't go as planned it's nuclear. It wouldn't have killed anybody if Carrie wasn't able to attend Lilys recital.. I'm sure it wasn't going to be the last. But on the heels of losing Sam as friend Carrie couldn't say no and felt obligated to be there for her friend. Sad Carrie spent 10 years on and off believing what she and Big had wasnt good enough, so insecure and that she never truly knew him inside and out. However thier affair was the one thing I couldn't get past as they harmed two good people but in the end she didn't get to keep Big...life has a brutal way of setting the scales.

No wonder the writing isn't geling with the original audience. The cast members are directing and financially supporting the project to keep it afloat. No disrespect....just noticing in the credits. I will ❤ SATC for eternity. They need to figure out how to get back to the old formula. NY isn't even the same. They could have kept it realistic to post-pandemic reality of living and showed what's it's like to rebuild. Relocation to NAPA or anywhere besides NY or LA. Is realistic. That's why it still fails to resonate. Rebuild NY. The Soul of that will feed the storylines. Get rid of the people who killed it off first. 🏆. I miss NY and I miss the original crew of this show.❤. 🗽💔. Season 3 of AJLT...being back Star, P. Fields, & Kim Catrell. ❤❤❤
