..and survived death narrowly

So, this is something that happened to me that actually happens to many people. Violence of many kinds is always just across the next corner. It's appalling that it is so, but we must accept that it is to be able to make changes that can solve the problem.
I survived to tell the tale but many people don't. If my own shared story can assist someone make a choice that saves them, then I would like to bring you into that experience by association.
I use a lot of dark humour to talk about it probably because it's easier to manage laughter as opposed to tears. I'd rather laugh than cry.

My name is Iculet and I wear many hearts. Presently I am studying a MSc. Biosocial Medical Anthropology at University College London and graduated with BSc. (Hons)Gender and Women Health at Mbarara University of Science and Technology where I was the 32nd Guild President.
