I woke up on the field to a blanket of fog, but I wasn't going to let that stop me. Never saw a "fogbow" before (or solar glories, Brocken spectres) but the Gollywock found one!! Such a rarity! Filmed with a Canon PowerShot SX20, and an iPhone 11Pro & 6s. Music via MotionArray.com.
1941 Gollywock plan is available here for a nominal fee: freeflight.org...
An alternate version of the Gollywock plan (based on the 1939 design) is available here for free: outerzone.co.u...

I've been caring for my father 24/7 for 6 years. I haven't had a day off. The hardest thing I've never prepared for has been watching my closest friend, my father, deteriorate slowly from Dementia, Parkinson's and a stroke. Needless to say, I've been consumed with caregivers syndrome and am nowhere near the strong, self assured person I once was. I have a Playlist of Tom's videos that I play, every night to help me sleep. His work is literally saving me.

No need to apologize. It’s just that each of your airplanes is a work of art, and it’s sad if they get damaged/lost. I was concerned the Gollywock was lost in the cornfield.

Absolutely beautiful. That polyhedral planform is perfect for wandering out of sight in the fog. These fogbows happen quite often in E. Very nice feeling of freeflight. Looks like you aren't using a folding prop. Perhaps in lieu of a dethermalizer? Are you using the original Gollywok wing airfoil (thicker in those days) or a modern thinner version? Back in the day, building a model from a plan and seeing it fly was a great thrill, because some effort was expended and a result accomplished. That simple lesson is still needed for today's youth. Thanks for a wonderfully nostalgic journey. Rudolph

Thx. I'm using the 1941 post-war plan, exactly as designed. The plan link is in the film description. It does have a DT but I don't use it in the morning. She uses the 13.5" carved prop, but it's not a folder, since those are disallowed in Flying Aces Club contests here in the US. I've never seen a model fly better, so I go to her often when the sky is beautiful and calm.

@@maxfliart Thank you. From 1970 through 1999 I used to build balsa planes (U-control 26' and 52' limes), and then R/C planes. It's been 22 years since my last build. I recently bought several Guillows kits (Rubber powered) to build. The tips in the EasyBuiltmodels are fantastic tips!! They bring back a lot of memories of paper work. (I had drifted into Monokotes for building). I am going to enjoy trying paper again. I have an airbrush that I use for my plastic model building and will use this to apply the water/alcohol, and then to eventually paint the paper. Calif,
