Not a fan of the 100 series. I almost pulled the trigger on 400s and 100 series for my new construction but did more research and heard that Fibrex becomes brittle below 40 degrees F. So glad I did research and ended up going entirely with Marvin.

Yes, we heard that as well, that when tested the Fibrex is more brittle at the low temperatures. Marvin fiberglass is definitely much stronger and allows to have generous glass real estate

Be careful with fiberglass. The finish tends to crack and peel after a few years. Good luck trying to get marvin to take care of a warranty on the finish. If they do honor the warranty you'll have to pay for the installation of the new pieces or windows they warranty.

@@SidingWindowsWizardsLLC Thank you ! I am debating among Vinyl windows of Pella 250/Provia endure and Thompson creek ...price are just around the same just not sure if their product quality and warranties are same ....can you help ?

@@kedarpanday3050 yes Pella 250 might be a good option. It energy efficient, has good performance ratings and solid warranties. We are not that familiar with Thomson Creek windows. It doesn’t look like they are manufacturing windows, they are just dealers of a certain brand, so warranty wise on a window itself you are gonna be better off with Pella 250

The 100 series window is the lowest quality product andersen makes. Its a shed window. Doesnt tilt to clean or have any of the features of the real fibrex window from renewal by andersen.

It is definitely tough to operate, the material is Fibrex, it gives a smooth look but no functionality
