Just received my Bugera AC60 today, I think it’s got a lot to offer and looking forward to finding out more details on for my future settings. Played it about an hour this evening with my Alvarez AC60CEAR plugged in. Wow! This is going to be fun.

I tried to love it. Sounds great. The effects pan between channels is the main negative for me. Want reverb on vocals and a bit of chorus on guitar? Can't be done without pedals. Sharing the effects chain between a vocal channel and a guitar channel is a flawed concept. Any busking musician would likely prefer a reverb/delay combo. Can you busk with it? Yes. Is it worth $200. Yes. Would I buy it again? No. Fender acoustasonic or a Coolmusic BP is a better, and more affordable solution for busking.

I generally speaking don't care for acoustics when they're amplified instead of mic'ed but- seems every company is now making them with pickups in them. And tbh Josh over at JHS just did a video on this topic and he actually got some really good DI sounds out of an acoustic by running it into a pedal for acoustics before it went to the amp. Then he would mic the guitar and ask which sounded better- the amp won several times. I didn't expect that but, he was able to get a good tone through those pedals.

I enjoyed this. And I fully agree with the part about under saddle pickups. Too many people think that it sounds good when they sound scooped and terrible. Your idea about the combo mic and saddle is bang on! If people still don't quite understand I urge you to play an Australian made Maton guitar.
@ripw12 жыл бұрын
Personally I dont like maton. I have a Martin and friend has maton. The maton is more of a bashers instrument,as suits my friend where the Martin is more refined. Maton absolutely suits the Aussie environment

Fantastic playing Big Ben , amp sounds wonderful & the price ? It's a no brainer ! . Alright it's not as clear as our German friend as favoured by Mr Emmanuel , but it's about £1500.00 cheaper !! & Very few of us are in the same league as Mr Emmanuel either financially or talent wise . PEACE and LOVE to everyone.

@robinmcgillveray9124 Жыл бұрын
I am in the market for one of these. (I will be doing guitar + vocals.) The credible options for me in the States are this one at $229, the Blackstar 60-amp at $299, and the Fishman Loudbox at $399. I spoke to someone at a Very Large online retailer and they said the Fishman hands down. They said that Blackstar were better at electric guitar amplification, Fishman are acoustic specialists (fair), and Bugera / Behringer is liable to develop issues the soonest. (Behringer used to be know as super cheap but impossible to service or repair. I don't know if that's still accurate.) Thoughts? Thanks in advance, and I have really enjoyed these videos.

Noob here, so reverb is e-sustain? Oh, and such a lovely guitarist. So much disdain while saying "It's not for me." I actually believe he may have an informed and interesting rational for his preferences, but in the absence of an interesting discussion making them clear and understandable, his attitudinal sniping comes off as condescension...until minute 11:28 when he undoes all MY clever sniping. My dad's English, and this guy's a pro (musician, yes but also Englishman...if you're English, you know) so I'm a little slow on the uptake over here. LOL. Thanks for the content though! I'm learning a lot through dint of my homemade search engine...my fingers on the keyboard (computer). Peace! Hey, go longer form with this cat one day, I'll tune in.

Tried it more times with a hollowbody and a vocalist. The amp does NOT sound too good. Harsh, lack of bass, lack of body and everything. I had the Fishman Mini before this one. That had a much warmer, more musical sound. I still keep it and experience with it: I try to use some IR speaker emulation and/or change speaker. I suspect that this English 'special' speaker is a piece of ... indeed.
