Just discovered your channel recently and am really enjoying your videos, as I work through them all. I have an oddball guitar that you may or may not be aware of. British made, my Hayman 2020 is from 1972 (I believe), which was a time when if it wasn’t Gibson or Fender, it didn’t sell too quickly. The build quality is exceptional, with nice Grover tuners and a great feeling neck. Odd clear plexiglass pick guard over a metal plate with 2 not overly powerful pickups. Every time I consider selling it, I pick it up and fall in love with it all over again. I’ve had it since 1975. It also has a very nice original case. Beautiful guitar, but rather odd.. Cheers and keep up the great videos!

Great video but a tad frustrating ... would have loved to see a "wich one's your favorite" test for Rob and Lee... You can still do it, there's lots of oddball, non-signature, guitars from the andertons website : _Supro Westbury _Fender Jaguar Strat _schecter Ultra III _Duesenberg double cat _Vox starstream _Gretsch 6655 double neck .... As a matter of facts, so strange that Andertons doesn't sell Guild guitars ...

That Duesenberg sounds and looks awesome, though I'm not sure I'm cool enough to play one with that pick guard. Their after market "Les Trem" is really great, BTW. I have one on my LP and it was easy to install, very adjustable, smooth and stable. It also requires no drilling of holes, so you can make your guitar stock again in a few minutes.

Rant......Brazilian Cherry and Mahogany are American advertising terms that only mean cheapest wood on planet from tropical forests. Its been decades since mahogany has been available. Mahogany now is a cheap import called luan and is used to make the cheapest plywood available. Used to be known as Philippine Mahogany. Brazilian cherry was popular for awhile for hardwood flooring but DO NOT LET THE SUN SHINE ON IT! Light changes its color!!!!

If I have history correct the tribute is a ‘194x fender lespaul, because Gibson refused to try a solid body. In ‘5x the fender non lespaul solids took off. There are few GIbson guitars with 3 pickups, normal 3-way switch for rhytm/treble and one knob dedicated to blending middle pickup to whatever setting you have. For that you have to sacrifice one tone knob (but anyway you can't have 3 tones, so going to single master tone with 3 pickups is logical).
