If you've never tried a Charvel, you need to! I poo poo'd them for years but then I got one as a trade in and absolutely fell in love with it! It's like the first time you play a Jazzmaster and you're like why didn't I try one sooner? !

About the splitting options! From the Charvel´s official site for this guitar, the middle pickup never engages on its own. At 2 or 4 position it is combined with one of the other two pickups (splitted)... The middle position (3) its actually a mix of both humbuckers but splitted, and the middle pickup is not on.

I wish Charvel had used a similar neck-pocket on the new doublecut-models as you find on the singlecut. It is so much more comfortable for upper fret access. Alternatively offer a singlecut with FR.
