It was passable, and better than I can do... but sloppy nonetheless. Rabea played circles around him in the leads. Now, it I had to pick one of the guitarist I'd say pete, because his rhythm and accompaniment playing is just that much better than anyone else on an Andertons Video. I love lead playing, but to be honest, it only needs to be passable.

Man Bea is on fire! Yes Pete is good as always. I was, and still an, super impressed with Pete's playing. But from seeing Bea slowly make more appearances to playing on Dorje, to loosing all that weight, and getting healthy, and now Toska o listen to almost every day. This man just keeps pushing and moving up! Increasing his playing on all styles.

Bright neon yellow. That's awesome. I own Schecter Sun-Valley with Sustainiac pickup exactly with that colour. It is such an awesome colour to have and see.

I would definitely go for the orange one, it's has a beautiful dark metallic orange tone which contrasts nicely with the white Seymour Duncan humbuckers. And personally i prefer a hardtail too, not such a fan of floyd rose trems.

I bought one of these in white 2 weeks ago. This is the reason my PRS custom 24 now sits in its case. While the neck is strange to me the tones I get are the best I've ever had. So versatile from start tones through a Div 13 FTR37 to full on heavy chunk through a Friedman BE100. Hardtail all the way.

what are the outputs on those pickups do you know? Alnico or cereamic? Thanks

The guitar is equipped with two Duncan HB-103 Humbucker pickups (one set at the bridge and one at the neck) with a three way switch. They're definitely not ceramic, but I can't find any literature that states the exact alnico alloy that they use (alnico 5 or alnico 8). The guitar feels and sounds absolutely amazing with its ebony fretboard and light body. I believe Charvel is owned by FMIC and production is in Indonesia and Mexico, with the Charvel Custom built models made here in the U.S. - I'm not certain so I don't need anyone yelling at me :-)

No, I appreciate it because I want Joe's tele too in the future and the Charvel site doesn't site anything about the pickups but I'm trying to learn more about how they get their tone. American High Gain amp, OK, C-D tuning, OK, but what about the specs of their guitars? So, if they are indeed HB103s, then those are modeled after the Duncan Distortion which are Ceramic with a 16.6 output. wow.

I played a pink Charvel back in the 90s at the start of my career. It was a killer guitar. Seriously considering one or more of these. The white hardtail with the maple fretboard would be my first choice.

They really are awesome. I 100% recommend trying a Mexico made model. They play superb. I've got myself the Pro Mod Super Stock SD1 in sunset orange Flake (1 of 125 made) and it's simply awesome. My favorite guitar to date.

I think Fender can and is positioning Charvel as their Tele/Strats with Floyds line, and Jackson as super strats. I used to be perturbed about the lack of floyds in Fenders, now I want a Charvel instead :) Never quite understood the versatile thing. I might genuinely not get it. I just never worried about it much. I just play:) (Satchel of Steel Panther better release an affordable signature. Love the look of his new custom jobs.)

John Gustafsson in general a strat with humbuckers is a very versatile guitar if you can use a 5-way switch or push-pull pot to split the coils. My HSH strat has both and I can play literally anything on it.

I have a Style 2 (Tele Body) in black with a Maple Fretboard. '59/JB pickups w/ Series Parallel & split coil switching. I did a quick fret dress and it plays really well. The switching systems really get a wide variety of sounds. The compound radius fretboard has a great radius down low for chords and it flattens out as you go up the fretboard for clean wide bends without fretting out. The recessed Floyd works like buttah. Spend the extra $$$ and get a case.

pretty sure all the models have a trembucker in the bridge, trembucker isn't a specific pickup model name like a jb or jazz, it just means wider pole piece spacing

Had the orange one for 1 week. The neck is a thing of beauty but sadly the guitar was a lemon, badly cut nut with the D string doing the sitar thing and ground loop with super loud hum coming from touching blade and screws for the pickup switch... so it went back.. but man, the neck was amazing, I was so sad to send it back, I was ready to change the nut myself but the ground loop was too much to take on a new guitar.

Pete, could you maybe do a review on the Fender Hot Rod Deluxe III? I know that there already is a demo on this channel but the video is quite old and the quality of Andertons videos has massively improved since then, so I think that such a review would still be very helpful, especially as the amp is so popular and also one of your go-to amps.

I appreciate that they show the ability to do the cleaner stuff with these guitars. I’m looking for a really versatile super Strat and feel like I may have found it. Only concern is the lack of middle pickup. Thoughts?

You will never miss it....with all of the different coil splitting combinations, I never even notice it. You can play anything....and I do mean anything on these guitars. The So Cal has hotter pickups but they clean up great. Hands down my favorite neck on any guitar I have ever played.
