What is with Fender's naming? We have the Acoustasonic Strat, not to be confused with the Stratocoustic; and now we have the Highway acoustic guitars, not to be confused with the Highway One guitars. Terrible for SEO lol.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE! Do a full review and comparison on these where you focus heavily on UNPLUGGED sound demos. Include in your review a short sound comparison against traditional dreadnaught and parlor size guitars. I would probably watch that video daily until I'm finally able to see one of these in person maybe a year or more from now.

They sound nice and look good. I bought my Acoustasonic Tele in 2019, which I use about 2 sounds of. This would have been what I've been looking for back then, just an acoustic.

Pete is a stellar guitarist... but it seems ALL of the Demo's from every YT channel for acoustic guitars just noodle and finger pick 99% of the time. The guitarist doing the demo Never just strums some chords to give you an idea how that would sound. Annoying

I fell in love with the idea of this new line before it even existed the first time I picked up an Acoustisonic Strat. This new line is exactly what I have been waiting for, a comfortable thin body with a neck that plays more like an electric, with the emphasis on the acoustic sound rather than on fancy electronics. In fact, I had purchased an IYV IJGAP-300 to fill my desire for such a guitar. I may be abandoning the IYV in favor of this new Fender because it sounds significantly better acoustically and that's exactly what the Acoustisonics and my IYV are lacking.

I'm curious to see how these hold up to time. Not that i think they won't last, but guitarist in general seem to be somewhat resistant to change. Allot of innovation in the guitar world didn't stick because guitarists preferred something more simple, but I also see the huge potential here. I'm interested to see where this is at in 30 years.

There were acoustic sonic type Fenders back around 2000. They had built in tuners in Fishman EQ electronics, the first ones may have been all laminated wood with shallow bodies about as thick as an electric then next models were same or similar but had fiberglass bodies laminated wood tops. Called Fender Teleacoustic and Stratacoustic. Ovations were probably better with their shallow bowl and mid depth bowl Celebrity models.

If I purchased one I'd have to install a bridge plate PU to either blend or use solo with my Tonedexter. Magnetic acoustic pickups have their place and I use them but they are not the most acoustic sounding. This style is definitely more appealing to me than the Acoustasonic series. I have plenty of electric guitars but what I don't have is an acoustic guitar that is super comfortable and optimized for playing live. Fender should hire me to explain who it's for.

I kinda love these in principle but the sounds I'm hearing here are a little confusing. In Petes playing the dreadnought section around 4:43, the E and B strings are annoyingly way louder than the other strings, and it doesn't seem like he intended for that, cos from the clip it seems like he's going for a kinda even dynamic. Do we need to drop the height of the pickup on the B and E end to get a more useable and balanced volume level between strings? Also am I Imagining this, or do all the open chords sound kinda flat, especially on those open B and E String chords. Is it the fretting pressure that's doing that or the intonation itself? Several mysteries here, hope these make it to india soon, so I can give em a go and find out for myself.

I think this is the problem. I get the impression this is a compromise that is neither one thing or another ie not a good electric or a good acoustic. I kind of admire Fender for trying, it's innovative. If it carved out a new niche it could grow the overall market for them which would be a neat business move but I don't know its musically right. At the end of the day its the sound that matters?

What is the cost on that Taylor? They do seem to land on the not crazy expensive end of the spectrum with a lot of their reviews. Yes there have been a few thousand dollar guitars on the channel but often with comparing a less expensive model that gets you close.

I really liked the sound of the Acoustasonics - way more than any Fender acoustic I've heard. The really sound quite plastic and active, nothing like a real acoustic with an amazing pickup system. Acoustic pickups have come along way in the last 5 years integrating different sound sources from the guitar, not just piezo under the bridge. KZbin Maton 808 Ap5pro or Col clark angel with their pickup systems. Quite frankly, the difference is huge and Fender just isn't in the same league. This demo does not discuss these types of both acoustically and plugged in amazing guitars. You can have both acoustic and pickup natural full sound, just not in a fender.
