I love chatting to Paul!! Whether it’s on camera or not it’s always an unpredictable ride. You should have heard what we talked about at dinner 😂😂. I wish the industry had more people like him - passionate, out spoken, a bit mad, but definitely not boring or corporate. And by the way - all those “You’ve won something!” replies that are being posted in this comments section are a SCAM!! Just report/delete them please.

I've never seen a man so passionate about his guitars. They are almost like his own children. He is honestly a wonderful guy. He employs many very talented people who seem to enjoy their trade. The Captain and I have something in common. We have both had the pleasure to sit down and tall to one of the most influential men in the guitar industry. Paul was at a promo, I told Mr. Smith, if he would sign this incredible TopTen that I would buy it. He laughed and said jokingly he didn't want to devalue this beautiful and awesome guitar. He ended up signing the back plate. But I had the chance to meet this brilliant man. I told him I was in construction and I built commercial buildings. I told him I love his guitars from the S.E.s to the best Core models because he cares about each and every one. As I do about building a quality building. I truly appreciate him and his passion. Great guy. Of course, I still and always will have the guitar he signed almost 20 years ago. It still looks as good as the day I bought it. No, I don't gig with it. It doesn't leave the house, but it's played with care almost every day. Honestly, it is still the best guitar I have ever played. I believe throughout my old ass life, I have played enough guitars to know. If you're a young guy or girl. Try and get an S.E. for your first guitar. It might be a little overkill, but I can almost guarantee you will not quit. P.R.S. are the easiest of guitars to play. And they are already set up from the factory. Can't say enough kind words about this man. Yes, the Core models are very expensive. But if you can possibly pull it off and get one. You won't be disappointed. And he treats his employees like family . In my humble opinion. Andertons is a great music store, and I'm glad they carrie the P.R.S. brand. Well done.

Really nice interview and chat Paul is a good guy ! In reference to where the Marshall JTM45 came from it was a direct descendant of a Fender. The JTM45 was, undeniably, heavily based on Leo Fender's 5F6-A Bassman it's history with the exception of substituting EL34s in place of American 6L6s and of course a different power transformer for UK 🇬🇧 power. As far a clean the Fender has a bigger bottom end because of its 6L6 power tubes and a different tube capacitance and frequency response. The EL34 has more of a mid hump nasal sound with a smaller bottom .

I have a PRS story from 1972 before he was PRS. He was in college at St Marys in southern MD as a freshman and heard us play in the student union basement with our 100 watt Marshall Plexiglas with 8x12 I was playing an all original 55 Strat with an echoplex and a Univox super fuzz set on a slight boost. My Marshall had the jumper to get bottom from the 2nd channel. I only had my bottom cab plugged in and facing the painted cinderblock wall. We had a short conversation on the break where I got an ultimate tone complement from him. I was 17 and he was either 17 or 18. Our next gig was in Ocean City MD. We opened for Liz Meyer with Danny Gatton who approached me and announced that his Tele thru a 4x10 tweed batsman was going to be louder than my 100 watt stack. Danny already had a reputation so I didn't argue. 50 years ago and I can't make this stuff up. I also have a Roy Buchanan story from Pittsburgh 1975-6
