Hi Gerald, another great video, we might see there fate in second series, but it does not really matter to the rebels as long as he dies because of what he has done, thank you Star Wars Fanatic

In the news cast when Luthen finds out the heist as a success wasn’t it stated that no imperials survived the Aldani Heist? Still vague, but definitely leaves us with only two options.

No imperials, yes. But were the wife and child considered imperials? Imperial citizens, sure. But the rebels would also be considered imperial citizens. It’s just interesting to think about.

I also find it interesting when a character like Rae Sloan talks about the benefits of the Empire. She lived on an unruly planet, and the empire only benefited her.

The same was happening with the female stormtrooper on Sullust. Such a different perspective.

I liked this analysis a lot! Some good commentary of colonialism and culture genocide. Hoping to see more. Cheers!

I think the whole theme of Andor is "cause and effect", that is why it is such a good show and others fail. Others have things happen for the heck of it and in Andor it all has some logic behind it that a regular viewer can understand and follow as one thing leads to another

That’s one aspect that makes Andor so intriguing.

Something queitly nefarious about the destruction of the Aldhani culture is how it was done. In a dialogue, Beehaz describes how they placed taverns and shelters along the ten-day trail to the site of the Eye. It’s a strategy that isn’t immediately obvious to those subjected to this strategy, but it nonetheless worked and reduced attendance of the Eye from 15,000 to a few hundred.

That was low key creepy. Like a passing conversation you would hear from 2 third Reich SS officers talking about moving people to the ghetto.

When I watched Andor with my wife, she related a lot to the Commandant a lot. Her father was a district officer, the highest ranking bureaucrat of sorts in that area. When they were moved to a rural district, where you need to cross using a boat, this was what they felt. A higher rank with a promotion, but the posting was not prestigious. Having to wear formal clothes when their higher rank or officials came to visit. Exchange of gifts and pleasantries. Every event in the village, they had to go to represent the state government.

One of my favorite parts is when they’re talking about how they’ve reduce the amount of people taking part in the pilgrimage and just chilling while drinking coffee or something. So nonchalantly. But really they’re destroying the culture.

I really enjoy your channel! Been bothered lately with the thought that with the emperors need for control, has implanted Luther into the rebel alliance in order to have a a pulse on what is to happen to his ultimate plans. I see the scenes with the main “public” leaders of the rebellion with all the people surrounding them and think how many of those people are part of the empire? I might be wrong, but always come back to how brutal Luther can be at times. Just a thought that is probably wrong, but would imagine the sith lord would have his fingers in everything! Thoughts?

I wouldn't say that his death was all that brutal. He died of a heart attack, which was alluded to earlier, by his gaining of weight and so not fitting his clothes, his panting when walking, and at the time of his death, the clear pain in his left arm, which he gripps. People die of heart attacks all the time, and yes, stress does make them more likely to happen, like being kidnapped and dragged off to open the vault. That doesn't make it brutal, if no less the fault of his circumstances. - My favorite characters are Vel abd Cinta, and their relationship.

This is true. The brutality of it is the determination of the rebels. The way they not only treated him but his family as well. I should have expanded on that rather than just saying is death was brutal.
