Normally, I don’t think much of story beats like “it’s so horrendous we can’t let the audience see/hear it.” However, the phenomenal acting of every actor in that scene conveyed pain on a spiritual level. In this case, it doesn’t matter if there is no mp3 for us, we don’t even want to hear what’s causing Bix that pain.

Resistance comes in many forms. The Mothers of the Pasa de Mayo first used to meet as a sewing club and secretly shared information about and planned how to find the "Disappeared" during the military juntas of Argentina. Playing outlawed music in WW2 Germany on radio or clubs. Ordinary people made contributions with what they could some gave their jewelry to fund partisans in many wars.

The torture of Bix is what greatly propels Cassian to think the way he does afterward. It gives the viewer the best and most personal reason, among several, for his decision to join the rebellion. He found his purpose despite the cost he knew could be high. He was a man conflicted before, but then, no more. His heroics and Bix, too, are understated but real and visceral in all they do until their probable demise, where heroes seldom go in the movies or TV series, at least in fiction not based on true stories. But it works here. Brilliant writing for the mature viewer, which leaves out too many people in our world, unfortunately.

This is the part of the series that makes me, somewhat reluctantly, hold off on watching it together with my 12 year old Star Wars fan son. It's the best Star Wars live action show, IMO, but I don't think the torture scenes are something he needs in his head at his age.

That show is too dark for a 12 yo imo. 16 could work but these characters are very realistic and it needs a bit more life experience to be fine with it.

Some other content creators have questions of Disney supposedly not paying tribute to James Earl Jones yet. Even though I'm not watching anything on Disney plus I've seen quite a bit of it on KZbin, and I kind of wonder if it would add to or if it would help the series to give some insight into what the Emperor was doing at this time. I know how people say less is more, but I grew up wanting more Star Wars (I'm 52) and eventually post 1987 I got it with the role-playing game. I absolutely love the Imperial and Rebel Alliance source books from West End Games and maybe I'm just too spoiled from those, while there's a lot of things that I like about current Disney Star Wars, I am willing to both criticize it and like it at the same time.

Hi Gerald, awesome video on Andor, Marva, was a mother and slave like most people, the start for Cassian was a similar start as Anakin, but she was a great Rebel which the empire did not know to start with, they were able to grow and hide at the same time building up the Rebels, and Marva was in control and more involved than Cassian new, but he joined to and I agree with you on everything in this video, thank you Star Wars Fanatic

What a pleasant surprise Skeleton Crew was to me. I was taken back to Spielberg in the 80's.... kid's having a great adventure. When I saw that Watts was director I was not surprised .... I had just watched WOLFS and that amazed me - he incorporated so many techniques ( I can't find the word for all that was packed in) to great effect that for the first time in my life I watched the same movie the very next day. But yeah....MORE SKELETON CREW!!!

I'm afraid that the series destroyed Boba Fett so much that there will be absolutely no place for him in rhe movie. Nice to hear you Gerald. It's been awhile.

Yeah I’m worried about that too. And with Temuera Morrison saying Boba won’t be in it recently breaks my heart. They need to redeem him and not leave him out to wither in that sad state.

@@STARWARS_FANATIC The question is how. I remember when I was really excited about the trailer but at the same time , I was really afraid what they gonna do with him. I heard so many better ideas about the show that would made Boba Fett a respected and badass character. Now I'm thinking that Disney made a huge mistake already in Mandalorian season 2, especially the last episode . There was at least one scene needed at the end.

I like the projector. if they had a hyperspace mode.... Like the work of Lovecraft, Star Wars has gone beyond its creator's original ideas. A new power is needed to restore the "Balance of Terror" . Something beyond the Jedi and Siths' limited views about the force. Ashoka showed the way. I say unleash chaos. Have the undead troopers in their pods unwittingly have something else that was not detected by the Night Sisters or Thrawn that was brought back to the OG. I say have more than one kind of force.

so people forget that the son and the daughter of the force had a mother that wasn’t force sensitive but. that mother wanted the ability to have the force so she tried to make herself force sensitive and in doing so she corrupted herself. shes now the most evil entity in star wars history.

Now I believe that the best actor to take the mantle of responsibility of playing the character Baylan Skoll, would be Liev Schreiber. he has the face for it .

Yeah, that knife in the JJ Abrams movie showed where Palpatines chamber was after it fell from orbit, so I'll assume the Knife was made, (and found in a dollar store.... LOL) only a few years after the Death Star fell....lol Like nobody could have explored the Death Star without a knife ??? LOL Not much made sense.....in any of the new 3 movies, and it was EXTREMELY lazy writing. Therefore, I can't believe that anything in those movies has anything to do with The Zeffo. Playing Fallen Order, the Zeffo brought back Wonder and Awe to Star Wars. I do hope that this gets handled better then most things do at Disney. Either that, or just leave it be, to our imaginations. I'd rather that then more cheese getting squeezed. Great video though.... Great observations. I just can't give those new movies that much credit...lol Especially my utter disappointment after seeing each one, and the lack of vision. Have a great day !!!!! :-)

Interesting thoughts. I don’t think that this means they brought The Force with them to Peridea, this is -after all, the home planet/Galaxy of The Night Sisters. Also, I think it is implied that the space whales navigate by The Force.
@GGBlaster8 күн бұрын
Great insights! I personally (and begrudgingly) ascribe to Lucas’ original description of balance. However, I have workshopped an alternate universe where balance is a little more complicated than that, and there are certain forces of nature that are dark side by necessity. It doesn’t excuse the Sith’s behavior, but it gives place for powerful Force wielders who preside over those forces.
@gregpeabody85368 күн бұрын
The purrgils are the carriers of the force between galaxies. Isn't this already the cannon explanation?
@Thewretchedwilly8 күн бұрын
I hate when people talk like Lucas is the be all end all of the franchise. The universe grew larger than he probably could have ever conceived. As far as “balance in the force means no dark side,” I’ve always thought it’s too optimistic. But you could chalk it up to different interpretations of religion, since you know, the force is space religion.

I didn’t like the show. Outside of ray Stevensons character and Shin and the anakin moments, the show was a mess. However I can admit it sets up some interesting things for the future. Hopefully they can give filoni some additional support with writing and producing in future related content or maybe he needs less support/meddling from executives.

Why does Star Wars have to be so complicated? I'm perfectly fine with my idea (of course) that a person who practices the Dark Side needs to be of a certain energy level in order to be even considered on the threat scale. There may even be people who are practicing either side of the Force who don't quite exactly know that they're practicing the Force, kind of like what was going on with Princess Leia. Aren't galaxies kind of like atoms and smaller galaxies could be like electrons?
