I know right! Crazy that when my dad got to talk to him, he asked what's one word you could give me to tell my boxers that would help Improve their boxing, and without hesitation he said "vision"! Thank you bro, I really appreciate that!

@@KainCarlton "vision" really thinking about it. The way he times everything and know where exactly to hit is definitely "vision".

I’m sure alot of boxers and trainers would not be happy with how Andre ward was blocking a right hand …. Catching it with a left hand ? Not good

I can see what you mean. But I would say that in this case he's demonstrating with the interviewer in southpaw. He's also fight Chad Dawson who is a southpaw. This method of defending the right hand of the southpaw with the lead hand from orthodox leaves the rear hand in a defensively responsible position for Ward. If Dawson was to follow up with the left hand, Ward would have a hand to defend.

This would actually also be true if Ward were facing am orthodox opponent as well. The Lead hand of an orthodox opponent is generally caught or parried by the rear hand of another orthodox boxer. The Rear hand is generally blocked or parried with the lead hand. This avoids what's known as cross blocking which leaves one side exposed to the opponent. For example, if Ward were to catch or parry Dawson's lead hand with his rear hand, it would leave the right side of his face open to a follow up left hand from Dawson. In the case of an orthodox vs orthodox set up, if one fighter parried the lead hand of the other with their own lead hand, it would leave an opening for a follow up rear hand, but this time on the left side of the fighters face who had parried with the lead hand
