"I got the revelation watching Floyd over the years...if he's not getting his just due...I watched Floyd from the beginning...if they're not going to give a top guy like Floyd his credit...this dude has been dominating since 1996, first time I ever saw him...I don't take it personal anymore...I hope I'm appreciated...when I'm around my peers, it's nothing but respect...just being who I am should be enough," stated undefeated former world champion Andre Ward, who recalled the first time he ever saw Floyd Mayweather and spoke honestly about being appreciated. Check it out!

Having power is one thing but watching a Fighter that knows how to neutralize his opponents power is amazing. Fighters like Ward and Mayweather will always be exciting to me.

+myko it's a bit like music.some people like pop could it hits you instantly like ko artists.then you got your progressive who want to listen to something different unpredictable those are the guys with boxing iq.sadly the pop guy usually win.look at Oscar de La Hoya he lost all his biggest fights except, for a old Chavez and became very rich and is currently ruining canelos career by matching him up with subpar opponents to keep making money.

Not true, on one specific remark. May himself said, he had to dig deep, really deep, to beat Cotto. He said his hands hurt after that fight and had to ice them cuz he just couldn't keep him away.

@@TechieTard That's partly because he went off script and was actually banging with Cotto, instead of his normal boxing.

hulkdaddy71 exactly true. I don’t know why people keep going on about the Cotto when it’s plain 2 see Floyd chose 2 stand his ground more. He could have made that fight a lot easier but chose 2 stand an trade more. He basically did a Sugar Ray Leonard in his first fight with Durán. Look what happened when Leonard did what he was capable of!!!!

Perhaps you should check out Maidana 1 and Jose Luis Castillo fights. Floyd's face was so pulverized you couldn't tell if it was a black man or a white man... swollen hamburger. He didn't walk thru everyone but the Incredibly Corrupt Boxing Machine did. And still does to this day. ALL Pro Sports are corrupted by money, 'the love of money is the root of ALL evil'. Just ask Floyd Turdbinder Jr...

One thing you can say about Ward and Floyd, is that they'll be leaving boxing with all the brain functions in tact. These two are smart fighters, where a lot of fighters who have been ko'd even once will see the effects on their brain as they get older

Always thought Floyd was a runner, but it wasn't until he picked apart Canelo that I truly appreciated his skill. When you compare Lara to Mayweather, you realize what a runner looks like. Mayweather may not be a toe to toe brawler/fighter, but he is the best technical fighter, I personally, have ever seen.

+makan kante Yeah, I would say Hopkins is the smartest fighter of this generation. He doesn't have the natural talent that Ward and Mayweather have, and has succeeded because of his astonishing understanding of and dedication to the sport of boxing. I personally think Mayweather's "intelligence" has a lot do with his flexibility and reflexes and his safety first approach.
